According to my trading experience I think the best trading platform is a platform which does not restrict at any kinds of trading techniques with scalping and hedging. Basically scalping don’t allow by and large regulated trading broker in their trading platforms.

Are you talking about 'platform' e.g. MT4 or broker? The best platform is probably MT4 (I prefer it to 5). There are so many brokers to choose from. I would make sure you get a regulated one other ones can be scammers

Mt4/5 is free. There are tons of indicators and programs.
cTrader is free as well. It is a great tool crippled by crippleware company which produces it.
Other platforms could have some advantages but I do not see any so useful to pay for that.

I have seen according to my trading experience by and large traders think, only regulated trading broker can make sure a secure and comfortable trading life with certainly, but I think regulation is not a big deal when choosing a broker, the main fact is the credibility of the broker

I just switched to Ninjatrader 8. It makes MT4 look like a toy. All those hours I spent coding indicators and EA's, and all those things are built into NT8. I switched because I wanted more time frames and Tick Charts, which would've been a complicated mess to program in MT4. Just my 2 cents.

Can you code EAs etc on Ninjatrader 8? Is it same language as MT4? I have been with MT4 for years but would consider moving for a good platfrom. Is there the ability to back test loads of old data like tickstory for mt4?

I think MT4 is more preferred because it has a built-in system. I have been trading with it and still the best for me.

It would be better , if we get real trading facilities from our brokers as like superior execution , security of funds at any kinds of investments , low transaction cost , easy withdrawal system without long time process, free demo trading , active customer services , exclusive educational facilities , lowest trading spreads , usable bonus offer and much more that are very supportive to lead a comfortable trading life with certainly.

MT4 is good but Meta Quotes will stop developing and updating it, that’s why I switched to MT5. It is also good with several features that are useful (like DOM)

Agree with you MT4 is fine but even I found MT5 much better since I switched my broker and started trading on MT5 with coinexx as it was the only platform they were offering then (now they have added MT4 also). But now I like it even more than its predecessor. As it is much faster than MT4, 64-bit multi threaded platform; backtesting is superfast with the real market data. Also I am super happy with my broker’s amazing spreads and trading execution speed.

I second that. MT4 is the way to go. Almost everyone uses that even though they have released a new version MT5. I tried it for a bit but then went back to Mt4

Not every time the newest build is something good :( the ones using MT5 probably mention the discrepancies with the latest build 1930. At least Meta Quotes were fast :D and they released several other updates

I prefer Metatrader 4 but I have mostly heard good things about Metatrader 5 too. It is a matter of preference.

Metatrader 4 is no longer available for the general public to download from Metaquotes.

MT4 is being phased out in favor of MT5.

See for yourself....

Only MT5 is available for download now.

MT4 is still available through brokers that currently still offer it.

However, it is no longer available as a public download from Metaquotes.

MT4 is being phased out and the main focus for development and distribution is MT5.
