My live ForexFS account that was set up with the TradeCopy.net Storm III signals on June 19th, 2012. After July 28th, 2012 TradeCopy.net stopped accepting orders for their signal service and the trades are only available through a PAMM managed account now. Since Forex Verified has a number of subscribers who trade these signals, I decided to make my personal account live on myfxbook.

Note that while the spreads are a little higher at ForexFS (and therefore the results not as good as you may get elsewhere), we were able to strike a deal with ForexFS to completely cover the cost of the signal service (which was $1,200/quarter), plus they offered a free VPS. Those additional perks and services aren't reflected in the profit/loss of the account.

As of today (August 2nd, 2012) the account is still trading a lot size appropriate for a $5,000 account even though it has grown to $9,500 at this point. I may increase my lot settings soon.

Increased my LotScaling setting from 0.25 to 0.35 on August 6th, which is the level appropriate for a $9,000 account. Current balance as of this post is $10,500.

At this point my plan is to allow the balance to continue to increase while leaving the lot setting alone, thus slowly reducing my risk. Or I'll start withdrawing profits. I'm not sure yet. :)

August 14th, increasing LotScaling from 0.35 to 0.50 and this is the last time I'm raising it. This is a level appropriate for an aggressive $10k account. I'll plan on withdrawing profits after this point. Of course I'm a glutton for punishment so we'll wait to see if that really happens.

Hi Scott,

How long do you think this EA goes too? Will it be like MDP? Is it really manual?
These questions are just to get some of your insights.

Thanks

Hey Hermes,

The fact that it's manually traded (yet, it really is) adds a human intuition element that MDP doesn't have. If the swings in the market get larger, they can adjust for it. If the swings get smaller, they can adjust for it. I think the one issue that could cause the strategy to fail is if the market starts to trend more often than it ranges. This is definitely a strategy designed for ranging markets...

The other, 'main' issue, is human emotion. They're trading almost around the clock. That takes a lot of focus, effort and coordination. They're getting paid very well for it but it can take a toll on the body and emotions!
