After eight years of demo and live trading I am just now starting to manage small accounts starting at 10US. I may, may not go full time in 2 or 3 years.

Well, after all...you still in the game and as you did not give up during the last eight years I am sure you will make it. I wish you all the best! Regards, Alexander

532 Canadian Dollars profit over the past 8 months... Well, I don't argue that one can make a living on 66,50 Dollars per month, although I assume it would be a very modest living in Canada, especially winter time.

We Trade for a living, and have developed several commercial trading systems and software for both forex and stocks, futures and options. we have live accounts posted on our profile. but trading for a living can be done but you have to have a serious edge that most other trader will never have.

Hi.

I don't trade for a living but certainly others on the system I use are able to if they want (my capital isn't high enough to start with...going to take a few years).

I've put a year's history up and a couple of live accounts still being used.

Best of luck all

That's almost 100% profit! If you keep that up you'll be able to trade for a living sooner rather then later :) All the best Thomas!

As few of here, I also trade for a living. Actually, my robots do it for me. I only check balance and statistics.

Beside that, I'm unstopable to create new robots.

I'm wondering how many traders are actually trading for a living? Please do not spam you system here as that is not the point of this topic. What I'm looking to find out is the answers to the following questions, (if you are trading for a living):

- How did you make the move from part time trading to fulltime?
- What starting capital did you require to trade full time?
- Has your performance changed once you did the transition from part to fulltime?
- Are you happy with your decision?
- Do you trade only your own money? Either yes or no, why?
- Do you see yourself still trading fulltime in the long term?

If more questions come to mind, I will be sure to post them as well 😄

Hi, Well I have been trading for 16 years. To make a break and trade full time, you need at least 50K account and have money in the bank for your expenses for at least 3 months. Max size on 50 K 5 usd per pip. I trade my own money and trade for some investors on a linked account. I dont charge them comms but i charge them a monthly subscription. We have had no loosing month gains are 10% per month on 1% per trade. so oou can say we doing about 1000 pips per month. If you can make 200 pips minimum a week you will be able to be a full time trader. But you need to have sufficient equity to get you started. Many new traders cancel a loss to quickly. Losses should be managed into profit, either by doubling up or hedging down. Its not a easy way to make a living. However over all the struggles then there are that day that moment when you cover your targets for months on one trade. I love trading, once you can become hardened then you wont panic. it all becomes easy peesy, dont try to take to much from the market can hurt you, just slip money from it gently. and then your in for the long term
Take a loss real quick
