I don’t think that any trading platform is better than the other. It is up to the trader’s requirements what they want to trade with. What is even better is trading using multiple trading platforms to get the best of everything.

Metatraders trading platforms are most popular and used platforms in the trading market.
Which do you prefer - MT4 or 5?
I like MT5 more as it comes with many more advanced features, although MT4 is user friendly.
I have heard from many traders that MT4 is best for trading currencies, you think?

In that case I’d rather suggest you try the MT5 platform. Even if you’re into forex, indices, cryptos, or commodities, your trading will sure-shot get better.

How about using these platforms together? Is this even possible?

What you can do is create 2 different accounts with 2 different brokers, that’ll solve your problem.

I’m otherwise quite happy with MT4 platform but lately facing an issue with it not being able to run on a 64-bit system as good as it does on 32 bit.

Never heard of this issue before. Do check with your broker. Reliable brokers as far as I know have platforms that are functional on either of these systems. In case you do find a problem with your broker, try turnkeyforex and fxtm. I find them to be reliable.

As a trader who keeps trying out different things, the number of currency pairs my broker offers is really important. After researching, I found that Pepperstone offers 61 tradable currency pairs. Along with that, I also found that Turnkeyforex offers around 100 currency pairs to trade which is pretty high in comparison to what other brokers are offering.
These are good platforms but I was reading somewhere that IG has better reviews than Pepperstone. I mean I have used both and there is surely some difference between the two. What do you say?

Yeah it is important that a broker has high reliability. Apart from other things like spreads or commissions, it is necessary to have some security of capital.

Since you’ve used both, you should go by that, right. The ratings don't matter if you like a platform. At least that’s what I think or I wouldn’t be trading with Cityindex or Turnkeyforex or any other broker.

I say you use both MT4 and MT5 and then decide. You’ll get more options with MT5 like stocks, futures, CFDs apart from currency pairs. But MT4 is kind of limited to forex pairs but that’s also a good thing on its own.

I always like MT4 and couldn’t really get myself to shift to MT5 or any other platform.

I’ve been trading with acttrader lately and found it much better than both MT4/5.

It’s nothing different than the other two. With Windows, iOS, Android, OSX, and web traders you can easily access this platform.

The chart features and analytical tools are quite advanced. I’d still ask you to try the features with the demo account. I myself did that with turnkey forex, avatrade, and pepperstone. The latter didn’t suit my trading style but the first two were just great.

You can stick to trading the major and minor currency pairs. There are also some exotic currency pairs which traders like to trade.

For me, MT4 is the best option.

The MetaTrader platform has good advantages for trading, such as many assets and indicators, small deposits, free demo accounts, etc.
