I believe most of these guys who post and flaunt outrageously promising results lack conviction in their system/s and are hurriedly looking for quick bucks by trapping gullible/naive/newbie traders. 😇😇😇
I agree 1,000% that MFB should not allow any discussion on systems that are not vetted and lack VERIFICATIONS with Open Histories. What privacy and secrecy would those reveal that they are fearful about?. I can understand Open Trades, but you can easily put a delay filter if there is fear of people copying those trades. 😉😉😉
TRANSPARENCY is vital, if they cannot be transparent with us as prospective customers, they are not straight, nor honest and have malicious intent and they themselves lack confidence in their respective systems by hiding behind the curtain of on the pretext of privacy/secrecy....
That's my two cents....... 😄

Hi everybody, considering this opinion seems to go against the majority, I know I am taking a risk here, but here it goes:
Why assume that every discussion is in the light of prospective customers? Have we forgotten that the orignal purpose of a social site was to allow to discuss with other people. I would not like it to prevent people from discussing just because there is a large number of people that indeed misuse it, and try to use it to gain customers. If you do not want to discuss non verified accounts, would simply not discussing them be enough? Another option would be to add a big fat warning or caution, saying this is a non verified account etc... but not allowing people to exchange ideas on test account because they are not verified feels a bit too restrictive to me. I would like to keep the free world as free as possible....

The unverified accounts are 99% of the time selling, managing, and scamming myfxbook users. If we allow discussion on unverified accounts, myfxbook should make Two different discussion categories, therefore the lurkers can make the choice of viewing verified trading accounts and unverified trading accounts. The issue for myself, is going here - https://www.myfxbook.com/community/trading-systems/4,1 - and wasting my time sorting through so many scam discussions. I like this community but the amount of time wasted with spammers make this community a terrible place. With a simple feature such as I suggested, the community wouldn't be scammed by traders who feel that verification isn't needed when discussing their system.
Myfxbook has already added the feature which Labels what account is Real and what is Demo, but it doesn't work since anyone can manually adjust Demo to Real without verifying the account. In other words, it didn't solve the issue. A huge warning Label would be great, two catagories would be better, and no discussion on unverified accounts is best.

RedRhinoFX posted:Excellent idea even the two sections for verified and unverified accounts would be great and much easier to sort through and just ignore all the unverified accounts. Especially for newbies who don't understand the importance of those little green ticks and will hand over money to vendors with unverified accounts which we see again and again.

from the ideas on here so far 1)prevent discussion 2)huge warning 3)separate sections I like the separate sections most. It still give people the freedom to discuss systems if they want to, but it allows other 'more serious' discussions to only be on verified accounts without too much waist of time.
