Monad Advisors is an alternative asset manager based in Asia that specializes in the quantitative trading of the over-the counter foreign exchange currency markets. We offer FX managed accounts for institutions and high net-worth clients worldwide. Our sophisticated systems provide genuine diversification from traditional investment instruments with returns that are uncorrelated with equity or bond markets.

Monad Advisors was conceived upon the desire to utilize strict quantitative methods to capitalize on the price trends observed in the various FX markets. Equilibrium is rarely observed in real life as market prices have a notorious habit of fluctuating, thus by using the latest trading technology, Monad Advisors hope to capture consistent risk adjusted profits for our clients through intensive research and vigorous back-testing of our trading programs. Our team comprises of a mix of experienced market-oriented and theoretical-based researchers, with backgrounds in Economics, Philosophy, Engineering and Computer Science, that conceptualize and implement the trading models used by Monad Advisors. Monad's trading strategy is rooted in strict adherence to a quantitative and mechanical trading system that is engineered to generate profits from the non-normal distribution of price movements in financial markets. We believe that price action in laissez-faire markets develop in a non-normal distribution curve highlighted by large tails, narrow mid-ranges and a high peak. Monad is dedicated in the development of absolute return strategies to profit from such dislocation. Our trading strategies include both trend following and non-trend models. Buy and sell signals are generated based upon price breakout, volatility and other proprietary measures. Price is the most heavily weighted factor. Stop and reverse signals are taken as long as volatility constraints have not been exceeded. It can be very expensive to try to convince the markets you are right, therefore positions are closed immediately when the price level triggers an exit signal. At instigation, each position is initiated according to the “risk tolerance” of the portfolio and the volatility of the price trend.
