Only good trading knowledge cannot brings profit regularly. Besides trading knowledge you have to focus on money and risk management which is the key to success in Forex trading.

Agree with you; knowledge is the king! Besides, traders should set their trading targets according to their own trading result; anything like unrealistic would be painful.

But how do you set a trading target? And should you even set a trading target? It could lead to over trading or under trading

In my trading; I don’t have any daily, weekly or monthly base trading target! I always rely on market condition; when I get a new opportunity of a new trade; then I use it either not!

i like trading with targets, that ways i know how much i need to earn to get to my goal and yes, it does lead to over trading sometimes, but over the time i have managed to get myself stabilized and patient.

Forex is 100% profitable, especially with proper risk management and a killer strategy, look at my profile for an example.

Financial Institutions/large banks are major players who have access to excellent infrastructure, knowledge, real-time information and data to be successful in trading.

Most retail traders get lured into Forex trading with unrealistic expectations only to end up losing it all.

Until recently, it was widely believed that only 5% of traders make money by trading Forex. After ESMA regulated brokers started providing statistics about the percentage of traders who lose money, it became clear that about 22% of retail traders are profitable.

We can safely say that the percentage of winning traders has been increasing over the past few years which can be attributed to their increase in knowledge about Forex, understanding the importance of trading discipline and acknowledging the fact that there is no “holy grail” to make money.

You made good profits Blake. how long you've been trading? I know you're not new to trading and probably found killer strategy for long time. Stay consistent though as this is <2 weeks account.

I've been trading for a few years and ended up adopting what was, in my opinion the most successful parts of other fantastic traders strategies and combining the parts that can easily work together to make my own strategy, one strategy for example that is a part of my own comes from my trip last summer to London where I met someone with a darkpool account and he told me his main go-to strategy, which I altered slightly to work better with the rest of the parts of my own strategy 'Massive Confluence'.

It's true that forex is very profitable, but that does not mean that the success comes laid out on a silver platter for your consumption. It takes a lot of trading education and patience, since you won't start making consistent profits immediately you begin trading. You also need trading discipline for you to follow your trading plan

This is not always the case, I have students that have learned incredibly fast. With proper guidance some have been good enough to impress private investors for 100k+ aum in less than a year and have personal results that most people think is not possible. For people that never got proper guidance I completely agree, it's nearly impossible to be consistently profitable in your first two years.

How can I get proper guidance? Can you help?
