Hey TD, thanks for your kind and positive words.

Here's the latest News:

I already have response from Andri to rewrite the program and add a file
to read from, after restart, and write to, during data collection. He says
this will slow data flow and a faster storage flow on your VPS or PC is
recommended now. (I'm thinking SSD, why not?)

Your method for writing to the Comment field won't work because the
data collected are for Virtual orders, so there are no Comments.

He also said there was an incorrect implementation of ForexJack's patch of
the T/P constantly changing - (November/13 I think) He didn't account for
the two sides of the program having Virtual trading and Real trading. I'm
not sure that affected our results though. But that'll be taken care of too.

I'm going to see about getting that external variiable added for T/P too.

Since I am having to pay for this re-write, I'm going to ask everyone to
pay another $15 - which, with only 6 or 7 of you, will help a little....

I will probably ready in 2 weeks or so.

'Til then, take it easy and stay warm (-35C this morning in Edmonton! brr..!)

Hi Drew,

Right but how about :
- the virtual order is just useful until we have a real order
- why don t we just use the storage for virtual orders as long as we do have a real order in regular array variable (or global if Necessary)
- then we throw the storage and the program relies on comments from real orders for establishing level structure as soon as we get a real order
- in case of MT4 restart or EA re-attachment which will cause re- initialization, we just loose the necessary time to reach first real order for a pair without real order yet.
- that way, no Data flow slow down hassle etc ... And no data collection complication.

I'm quite sure a regular multidimensional Array[] keeps it's data unchanged after each new tick as long as we don t intentionally change a data or re initialize it.

Let me know what you think and what Andri think.

Ok for another $15 . Send me paypal request please.

Cheers,

David

Hi Drew,

Do you want the $15 sent to Andrew Strilaeff iamforexcure@gmail.com? I have been running the current version in a MT4 hosted account with Red Paladin Nexus and it is working well.

Thanks again,

Greg

Hi Greg and Dave.

Regarding payment for the new EA, I don't want to take
any money before I actually have something to distribute.

But, of course, you all will be the first to know when it's ready.

Tradydave posted:

BUT, you're mistaking on TEA mechanism, as I could see 1.95 source code : Only trade entry is based on MACD indicator.
Then it's a fixed pips distance for TP with a pair-based multiplier. I'm 100% positive as I've seen it for myself in source code.
Therefore, my wonder was : can we improve that TP distance to make it more 'account blowing'-proof ?

David

As I noticed , except for first 1x trade, all other levels (ex. 6 x GU pair) have different TP distance for same pair at the different times. Not sure whether TEA use solid fixed TP distance or not.

For my concerns, beyond original TEA, adding filters function and global variables to store invisible trades should be the good step.
Let's keep Original TEA Mechanism at this step. Original TEA has effective TP management according to my experience. Only how to handle strong trend issue.
Just for the reference.

Hi Drew,David,
The original TEA is experiencing a very high level (x33) on GU pair now. But your demo account didn't show similar trades..
Fxcure EA mechanism is different from TEA?

Hi Crane,

I have no idea, but I suppose it's the same mechanism.

Though, from 1 TEA to another and depending on a lot of factors (broker, date of beginning etc ...), results can be different.

Cheers,

David

My VPN did a reset today so I had to restart the demo. It will be interesting to see happens. There are only three orders open at this time a 6x and 9x for NZDUSD and a 6x for gpbusd.

For TradyDave and anyone else who G.A.F.:

On Feb. 7/14 you said:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Please browse all orders and basket in FXCure_That_Works and focus on Pips Number won in total for a basket.

1) Does everything seems normal to you ?
2) Is it normal that Pips Number won vary a lot from one basket to another and from one pair to another ?
3) This morning that single trade basket closed :
02.03.2014 23:00 02.07.2014 07:45 GBPJPY Buy 0.06 - 167.14 164.91000 167.14200 223.2 130.42 PIPS WON : 223.2
I thought we could only find 60PIPS and 130PIPS in the TEA logics.
What do you think ? Is the EA misplacing the TP's again ?'
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Answers:

====>The resulting Pips Total ALWAYS is supposed to equal 30pips x (times) the number of orders in a basket.

So, for example, here is a basket with three 1X orders, one 3X and one 6X, so, 5 total orders in the basket would be a net of 5 x 30 pips gained:

Level/Pair Size Open Close Pips Profit
1X: GBPJPY Sell 0.05 167.42600 169.22500 -179.9 -$89.07
1X: GBPJPY Sell 0.05 168.05900 169.22500 -116.6 -$57.92
1X: GBPJPY Sell 0.05 168.59400 169.22500 -63.1 -$31.60
3X: GBPJPY Sell 0.15 169.07600 169.22500 -14.9 -$23.61
6X: GBPJPY Sell 0.30 170.14900 169.22500 92.4 $269.77

I calculate this as: (-179.9x1) + (-116.6x1) + (-63.1x1) + (-14.9x3) + (92.4x6) = 150.1, which is supposed to be 5 x 30 pips plus a little slippage and round off. Similarly, you would multiply the pips for a 9X by 9 and this would NET 180pips, and so on....

Now Dave, you can imagine there are an infinite combination to get this resulting 150 pips. In your case, you are filtering out all the 1X and 3X orders and so you only see 6X and larger. That's why it's easy to question why the pips associated with your 6X orders vary so much. Your 6X pip-size can really be almost ANY number - But the TOTAL pips arithmatically, ALWAYS follow the rule at the '====>' above.

I hope this puts your mind at rest, Dave.

Drew
