That's no surprise to me. 90% of the online scams originate in Nigeria. I guess they have a lot of spare time on their hands lol

I been there. Made me deeply religious.

Every morning I wake up and thank god I wasn't born Nigerian. Or I'd have to shoot myself.

There's no work ethic or any kind of ethic there.

Doing a dive, we're in life support. I need something, guy behind me is gone. He's having a fight. To him it was substantially more important to have a pissing contest than keeping the guy in the water alive. Tell's you something about the mindset of Nigerians.

Elkart, sorry to hear that - it's both disturbing and funny at the same time red

I guess you're not diving there anymore?

I took this in a Nigerian harbor. About $100 mil lying there in scrap. Can't take it because you have to pay everyone. And I mean everyone. Even the security guard wants a cut. That harbor is practically unusable. Only small boats can get in now.

So this is the Nigerian oil wealth rotting away. No one can have it. And no one can use the harbor.

Reminds me of the story of the dog. Had a bone in his mouth, but when he saw his reflection in the water he tried to bark at the other dog so he could have that bone as well. He went home with no bone.

I do when there's work. Been kind of quiet of late.

Also interesting to note that on this trip to go from the airport to the hotel took 2 cars and 4 armed guards. Ak-47's....just because I'm white.

My boat was full of bullet holes, and a couple big holes where RPG's went through. And this is not isolated. One buddy got kidnapped, another had his clothes shot full of bullet holes, they tried to take a third out of a decompression chamber, which would have killed him by boiling his blood....

The chamber operator was forced to make the decision between his own life and that of the guy in the chamber. That's a job I do. Everyday I'm either driving the chamber or I'm in it, we rotate.

Never go back there again. It is without doubt the worst place in the world, shortly followed by India.

Really? I was actually under the impression that India isn't as awful as you describe.. You've had some unfortunate experiences there also?

People fight in the streets there for food. It's a slum with 700 000 000 people. Don't believe the incredible India adds.

If you stick to Goa or tourist area's it might be ok, I never been there.

I saw the real India. Where people live in their own filth. And break down mountains with sticks for cents. Rubbish lies on the side of the road in such volume I can't even make it fit my camera.

No malevolence or violence or intimidation to tourists like you'll experience in Nigeria, but just hard core grinding poverty. And few girls. They killed them all at birth.

It's a nation of sexually frustrated men living in their own filth and poverty basically. It's the lack of hope I find most disturbing.

I can testify that. Just got back from there a month ago. I will never, never go there again. NEVER.

India?

I'll still go there if someone paid me enough. Just a few days of diarrhea at worst.

Nigerea, not enough money in the world...
