Wow its been such a journey (reflecting)!! It was first curiousity with the finicial world watching bloomberg and following the world finicial feeds it was like a uhphoric feeling just to imagine to be on that winning side of the moves I saw in the numbers of stocks and currencies.That was 2008 Fast forward to 20011 When I was writing down some goals I came across a website claiming to ROI 2-3% per day COMPOUNDING INTEREST. After some research on the topic I wrote it down as one of my goals to one day put my money in a fund instead of a bank to get that type of compounding return. The name of the program scheme was called HYIP (high-yield investment programs) a total scam in which i lost $600 . But what it did was open pandoras box so to speak, I saw in my research of hyip that they traded in something called the FOREX market (at least so they claimed). Well you can say like Micheal Jackson Said " This was it " , the google search for forex for those who done in the beggining know its never ending. I open my first Demo account in Feb 2012 and getting some price action whipping around opening and closing positions winning and loosing it was sort of like a born again experience learning fine motor skills all over again. I know this is long but I will end quickly anyway I finally went live after about seven months of research and signing up with a so called expert to learn basic FX stuff. I was going to follow a trade signal site that didnt work out blew my account and lost $800 I was devastated. Took a couple weeks break was all i needed to heal and jump back on a decision I always am very glad I made its wasnt like other people tho it was the oppisite it was harder for me to give up than to trade . I have been trading since then till now. I might not have a position in the market everday but I was always on the charts and news feeds since then . Called it a minor case of over obsession but to end I will add that you might hear it over and over but its so true "Theres no shortcut to learning the Forex Market or any other Market . My Trading Style is pretty Simple , can get crazy sometimes but for the most part I like to keep things in perspective and trade only what I can fully understand even if i lost a trade I know why. I use Fibonacci , Trend lines , Pivots and Moving Averages.
I use the 200ema , 20ema , and sometimes the 5-13-84 emas. Like i said My style is simple I use the economic calender and past price action to make profits on the reversal or continuation . I also some time fade the moves and go against the price and set limit orders etc . Everbody has there own method as long as (a) You have an Idea where price is going (b) When to get in (c) When to get out . I am also open to knew strategies and learning in the market .I for got to mention I use some basic Elliot wave Counting as I am still a student of the Elliot and the Dow Theories.
