Much depends on the situation on the market. I think that we need to be prepared for various scenarios, otherwise the result may not be very positive.

Big earning is possible when a trade is held for long term. However, more and more short trades can also bring more risk but it comes with risk.
An emotional person is never successful in trading because emotion is such a quality that inspires a trader to take high risk in trading.
Imo, it is the flexibility and adaptability of the trader that allows him/her to survive and make profit in the market. The forex market being highly volatile requires traders to have a flexible trading approach.

How is that possible without knowing how to trade? Unless you're relying on someone else to do it for you...which is never a good idea
