There are some very successful systems which have their privacy settings set to public viewable.

For such systems it would be very interesting to add a feature where useres can get notified of buys and sells of a system they follow.
Notification could be when logged in in form of a pop-up alert and sent via E-mail, thus enabeling users to dublicate the succesfull trades of systems of their choice.

This would be a hugely valuable feature that could be interesting to many people.

At the moment it is not feasible to follow any of the systems here with manual trading, however it would be more feasible with an alert and notification function for tracked systems of any buys & sells.

Are you aware that data isn't updated in real-time? I'm wondering how are you gonna pull it off.. Or even trying to manually trade a system that isn't trading in your timezone..Or a scalping system.. Just too many setbacks.

I think it depends, the data isn't updated in real-time because there is inactivity.
I have watched systems that were not updated seamingly real-time, but just as soon as a new order was placed, the My-fx book was updated as well.

Suggestion answer to your concern: However to answer your concern, my idea could be realized combined with a warning such as 'please be aware that not all systems are updated in real-time' (coz some are).
Anyhow, in the alert & notification the user will see when the order was placed... meaning if it was 1 minute ago or 10 minutes ago, so actually the user will see it as part of the notification anyhow. It is just a tool to monitor changes in a system you track.
Currently on the myfxbook updates, you also see when the order was placed. ie '10 minutes ago,.... / 1 hour ago etc'.

I still think it is a missing tool, that would enhance the value of this whole website.... currently it only caters to people who are users of EAs or experienced with manual trading.

With my suggestion the website would become useful for people who are neither using EAs nor are top manual traders (of which there are a few only anyhow).

Thus it would provide value for the broad mass, if one could actually follow a successful systems (or have a chance to follow them, in case they are updated near-realtime, which some are...), by way of notification & alert of buys & sell.
It would benefit the broader mass.

The fact is that only a few successful systems are on myfxbook anyhow, which are not set to private.
This means that those few successful ones would be very interesting to have the ability to follow the system (the public successful systems).

The ones who voted thumbs down, are probably only users trying to sell a product, using this free platform to sell their stuff....
Which I find diguisting, coz that's how it always is.....

Cheers,

Jens

Jens, thanks for the suggestion.

Although this isn't the point of Myfxbook (ie a signal service), we'll see how to implement your idea.

You can also ask for the provider to use a twitter connection for opening orders.

So if he is willing to do that... you simply follow him on twitter and you will get the notification for each trade
