I wanted to go to bed actually but noticed that it is only 7:45 p.m. and tomorrow is a day off as well, but I am going to get up to check on oil as you say it doe snot sleep
![]() But I prefer to trade only in certain moments. I want to improve my Sharpe ratio and as I understand now hit rate is important. walker36 posted: Chikot posted: It's late. gonna go to bed. dont forget OIL never sleeps!! ![]() ![]() |

I want to say that, this FX thing is a serious business. You can loss a lot, you can win a lot too. People take years to try to conquer it. With that in mind, please fogive me if I say 'I don't want to explain this in the public', some of the key points I can explain in private and with a few people only.
Try to use more of PM feature on this forums. In Oanda forums, we don't have that feature, that is why it is hard to discuss in detail everything and that lead to 'fighting on the internet'. I like the way this forums setup, everyone can have his/herown corner. Let consider this is my home, I can have a little ownership of myown home. You should do the same I thing. Have a good strategy, everyone. CuongVC If you can proof that you can make money grows, tons of money will flow to you. |

I target on bigger pip gain, longer holding time. I target on longer term rate of return. I don't set a target of how many percent a day or a week but more like 3-month-period. I am not good at predicting next hour move but can be better at longer timeframe. But ofcourse sometime I predict wrong, then I use my money management to keep DD small but when the price come back a little I gain back fast. I seldom use stop loss because I don't trade small trade size, many small trades can be left open. Most of my trades end with profit. Stop loss usually stop out too soon. Some times I use stop loss, when the account have big pip value.
In summary: A lot of money management and some predicting on higher time frame. At higher timeframe, we can predict easier, in my opinion. If you can proof that you can make money grows, tons of money will flow to you. |

I agree MM is one of the most important parameter on trading. most of the traders are failing with good systems but with poor MM. I want to know how do you know when price goes against you eg..2000 pıp that it will come back to your favor. regards Trade The Trend! Defend To Price! |

Just look at the weekly chart of Eur/Usd, the price is ranging in a huge range. The higher time frame the more ranging the move is.
