BTW I would close those trades at average BE. but I would like to taste the loss and start with change.
walker36 posted: _somehow. I had change a logic which is from now I will not rescue trades. FIX_SL set to 25PIP in the case of a connection error, platform freeze or what ever. trades will be closed at 1 to 10 PIP loss so also there will not be open trades after friday afternoon. due to change and weekend I have flatten open trades in loss. walker. the reason is the leverage. commodities has low leverage and GRID can not be traded with that.
Chikot posted: Anyway, a lot of guys use grid in FX market but I have not heard of anyone trading this way oil or other commodities... daily goal done.
flatten. it was a long day. time to rest.[cool]
currency has one advantage rather then Oil which is I can monitor 3 angular price movement between EURUSD/GBPUSD/EURGBP. this is one of the most important point. So I need to watch 3 pairs at the same time. this is the dificoult part.
Chikot posted: yeah, me too. This is the reason I cannot trade well more than one instrument cause I have to watch carefully how price moves tick by tick when making decision.
yes. _somehow semiautomated. I execute trades from keyboard. the reason is this to prevent from oldtick, slippage and high spread. EA gets the execution command from keyboard and execute it when the situation is good for the trade. with that I also can monitor the slippage. BUT I spend all time watching the screen, each tick.
Chikot posted: Still, $5000/ $5 = 1000 [eek] I usually trade size that is 1/10000 of my account per pip to 1/5000 per pip. Are you going to do it manually?
walker36 posted: not so much. I reduced it from 10$/pip to 5$/pip[wink]
......
after I had coded the keyboard I start using second machine for emails and other internet actions. But strangly my lot size and some other parameter were changing. at last I found the reason. I was using the calculator on coded machine[eek][eek]
