I agree. Why not add daily Equity Drawdown % as a second statistic underneath the current daily Balance drawdown %?
This statistic is equally as important. A system may look safe with a closed trades drawdown of just 10% but may be high risk with actual open equity drawdowns of 60%. Is this currently displayed anywhere other than visually on the chart? This is critical to comparative analysis of the risk and safety of different systems.

Absolutely, I totally agree, this is a very very good way to judge how reliable systems are and if they are actually applying the strategy they boast.

A parallel issue to this is the delay in showing the latest drawdown figures visually on the chart.
The chart only updates each day if a trade is closed on that day - so if no trades have been closed there is no chart information shown. This is a problem as a system may be slipping into deeper equity drawdown each day which is hidden until a trade is closed and the chart updates. It would be good for the chart to update each day even without a closed trade so we can see that even if the balance line remains static the yellow line is changing to reflect the varying equity amount.

I think real time drawdown is right around the corner. Since we have live data quotes in the Footer Tool Bar, MFB is streaming real time. This was the needed ingredient to add Real Time DD statistics. I know that some brokers quotes will not match this stream, and perhaps we'll need a Warning: sign mentioning that ' This system's data feed does not match our Real Time Feed, therefore statistics are not 100% accurate.' The other concern would be that the users system could avoid updating while in excessive DD, and then update their system once the DD period is over. If this is the case, MFB would have to run all preexisting trades against historical data to configure 100% accurate statistics..... any other ideas?

the update frequency is the key. for updating accounts MFB dont need the trader computer due it has the investor pass. so the issue is the MFB should scan all accounts frequently and the BETA version accounts should be used.
