Thanks for that explanation birt. I knew there had to be some kind of illegal thing going on there... Still, there's yet another question I'd like to ask you. Just how did you manage to pull multiple price feeds from a single EA (running on a single account?) and then have it trade? Maybe DDE from multiple MetaTrader instances or something?
Again, congrats on your mockery. ;) |

It's rather complicated and I wouldn't want to get into the details, giving free tips; suffice to say that for me it was a fun programming exercise, using some techniques I haven't used before and the whole thing probably took a bit over 8 hours. In any case I didn't use DDE, although that might work as well.

Maybe DDE from multiple MetaTrader instances or something? shouldn't be hard for a programmer with basic knowledge with dll's (no, that's not me ).you just need to create an ea that sends prices to the master ea which is on your main trading account. run the ea's on all the platforms you want to get the feed from, and on your main platform you just work with additional variables which are the different feeds. Sleep is for the weak. |

Hehe, right then. I see where you both are coming from now. Thanks for your replies. My brain ain't tickling no more lol.
BTW birt, I do *not* intend to use this or similar techniques in my trading. In fact, I don't use EA at all; I'm all for manual trading. ;) Thanks again all. |

biz0101 is correct when it comes to the general idea.
theM1G: I didn't refer to you personally, but if I even hint to what I used, I will probably see the technique implemented and sold by some scammer with a flashy website in a couple of weeks. http://eareview.net |

On the fun side, I see that after I added this system, myfxbook immediately changed the defaults on the systems page to listing only systems running on a real account and I applaud the decision :) It should probably only list trade-verified systems by default, too.

If it were a real account, the broker would have gone bankrupt

OSIS, how would the broker have gone bankrupt? Wouldn't they have made a lot of money through spread?

Because the broker is Market Maker type. They didn't route your trade to real market, that's why you will not get re-quote.
They wouldn't bankrupt, they just don't pay you and forfeit your deposit too as trying to scam them using market price delay tactic on them. Information is Gold when come to organised. http://winterwongforex.com |
