Hi
I'm interested in adding the economic calender into my script and have the script able to select specific event and save it as favorites and still get actual results updated within the script. Can this be done?

Yes, but why not simple download the news (.txt or .xml) and get the information from there. We used this solution in Fx Pulse 3.0 and it works smooth and is also fast. It's a free tool, so if you would like...you can download it and see how it works. Link: https://www.forex21.com/fx-pulse-3

In this case a php script which parses the information and writes it to the sql DB would be probably the right thing. If you want I can recommend you a programmer who can develop such script for you.
