Drawdown Control:

Several users kindly pointed out that why the drawdown is very high in the backtest.

Now let's say something about it:

In the backtest, we use $200 as initial deposit for the 9 years' journey.

Theoretically the drawdown must be large in this case:
Leverage is 1:100 & Fixed 0.1 lot , we need at least $100-130 margin to maintain fixed 0.1 lot per trade.

Initial deposit is $200.

If a trade loss $100, we'll be directly stopped out in the backtester.

For 0.1 lot XAUUSD, if price changes from 1300 to 1310, then the account will be liquidated.

But backtest result strong indicates that the strategy logic of Algo Scalper is correct.

It could survive in all market conditions from 2009 to now.

While in real account, if we use $200 for fixed 0.1 lot per trade is definitely a high risk strategy.

We recommend every $1000 balance, use fixed 0.02-0.03 lot per trade.

Below is another backtest report with $3000 initial balance and fixed 0.1 lot per trade.

The drawdown is controlled to no higher than 30%.

Please try this strategy in your side if necessary.

Good Luck!

Hi Brian - nice system - just wondering who the developer is you or Yue Wang? Very nice early stats but guess the +2 PF is somewhat flattering at this early stage? What is the backtest like for all pairs? 160+ $ is quite high for a new signal service and others offer demo trading account option - will you? Good luck!

Hi Peter,

Many thanks for your kindly suggestion.

copyright of this EA belongs to YueWang.

We are a small trading group. I mainly focused on commodity currencies.

We do think the price is too high and will adjust all the pricing of our services this week after another EA released in MQL markets.

I'll let you know when all the work is done.

Welcome to backtesting for the new EA, also welcome to any suggestions.

Keep in touch...

Thanks,

Good Weekend,

Brian
