Yes awesome trading so far, Handling crazy move on EURGBP today well so far, we see, long term still think it going down despite the DD holding.

Awesome trading till margin call......same with the last account 🙄

It won't hit margin call if you have safe 30% stop loss as suggested by the seller

Yes, but I doubt the seller practices the 30% stop loss himself, otherwise his account would have been hit by a stop loss last week as I saw a floating loss up to 40+ % using default recommended settings on my account.

that is not correct. the account has not had drawdown over 12% last week.

Ok fine, I could not prove it, but how about today? Below is the copy and paste from the current open trading status from BlueMonkey in FPA:

As of 11/2/2014 at 8:23 pm EST:

Yet the positions are still open, not hit the 30% stop loss.
Please explain?

This EA hit 30% stop loss for me today. Did it hit for anyone else?
certainly the vendor account hit it too...
but the account is refreshed few times a week only...
the forexpeacearmy published account already has more than 30% of DD.

As in my previous message, I doubt the vendor applies the 30% SL for his account in FPA.

Hi,
I am with FXCM. Two individual loss trades got closed for me, one on Friday, the other on Sunday night just a little while ago. Then I closed all the trades manually before it started the steep drop. FXCM is 1:50 and does not permit hedging so the EA would not open those trades. I turned BMEA off for now. CKD

Just a question: is there any way to 'protect' the account for example when the account S/L is greater thatn 30% it closes the positions and stop de EA... because whe know that most of those EA's does not recovery from huge stop loss usually they blow out the account

thanks

yep, always the same behavior :)
and check...
https://www.forexpeacearmy.com/metatrader_expert_advisor/blue_monkey/real/analytics
the equity used was 39.4% !!! higher than 30% and the trades were not closed....
so for sure the official vendor account uses a different setup.

@bluemonkey
Hi Alex, what's your EA setting now ?
According to your trading log, it looks like not default setting.
Thank you.

Hey Alex,

You seemed to kill it today and great job for you but I had almost the same size account as you at the time and you seemed to do a much larrger profit and pip take home than me. I mean I won either way but you really outdid me by A LOT! How is this possible? Also, my basket closed this am (us time) and you still have trades going and mine is quite. What is the reason for that?

Hello @askew8 ,

Do you have any long positions now ?
Bluemonkey's myfxbook log has some long positions, but I don't have them.

No no long positions. All my positions closed in profit so I'm not really complaining but I just wanted to see how he had different wins that what I had... to me a win is a win and it was hedging for me and I won on both sides so I happy either way. Just wondering

Hello @askew8 ,

Thanks for your information.
I have used bluemonkey for a while.
Sometimes Bluemonkey myfxbook trading log is different from mine,
like this case, bluemonkey has long positions but my account doesn't have.

@bluemonkey
Would you share your EA setting for clients ?
It would be better for building your credits.

Yes trades did open and close sucessfully! You just seemed to have more positions and took in a much larger profi than I did so I was just wondering how that happened... I'm not complaining because either way I won but it was nowhere close to yours.

The problem was with our broker, it didnt allow all trades to be closed and after closing a few trades some trades were left hanging. Therefore the EA recognized the hanging trades and continued the trading as if the bath is still open.

so basically it was a broker issue.

Hello @bluemonkey ,

This week clients reported no long positions opened in myfxbook,
and bluemonkey had some long positions.
Is it broker issue or EA setting ?
Thank you.

this is not exactly correct. almost all our users have had long trades but theirs closed earlier than ours and ours didnt close due to our broker.
