Yea, I hear you. Real trading is nothing like competitions, because money management is completely ignored. Yea, competitions are always a good practice,if I do not take Equity Management into an account. I suggest you practice trading on demo account first for a while, with 5% risk of total equity, determine your trading plan and when you come out positive each week for couple of weeks in a row, you do the same on real account. The best is to start with 1 micro lot and then move up to 2,3,4,5...and so on. Because it is the skill that it is important, not the money. ;) :)

:) Hi. Thanks Marcos. Yes, I started as a Disaster :D but that was long before I educated myself on how the market works and how to successfully trade. Before I would expose more than 10-20% of my assets. Now I expose only max 5%. Therefore the comeback as a Competitor is going slow but eventually it will grow and I will become a Master. :)

"If you know the market and know yourself, you will win most of your trades and be successful at trading. If you know yourself but do not know the market, you will win some trades and you will lose some trades. If you do not know the market and do not know yourself, you will lose most of your trades and be unsuccessful at trading."

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
