Thanks for the compliment! [smiley]
It is based on the MT4 time, as in the trading history.

Amazing - this is fantastic - thanks guys! - At last a tool, in black and white, (or more accurately, in blue and green....) which will finally persuade me not to take those dodgy scalper trades just before the London fix....:)
Quick question - is the timing the same for Oanda accounts, ie it marries up with the trading activity?
Cheers

The facility to create these in MT4 is called the strategy tester. So strategies makes the most sense to me I guess.
However I would agree that some kind of disclaimer would be in order as there are no doubt people on here unaware of the failings of the strategy tester in MT4.

Yeah I guess you're right Steve, especially in relation to those people who are familar with MT4 EA programming, and there are certainly a lot here in the MFB community. I suppose I'm just old fashioned, trading using charts, price action, and actually placing trades myself i......

Privacy is an irrelevant issue - when you list an account, you are publishing those account details to the world at large, at least those details which you wish to display - letting 'other people stick their nose in your private assets' is the whole point !!
For those who use MFB as a tool for analyzing their own trading, all ......

I have to admit that I was slightly confused at first between 'Strategies' and 'Systems'. Maybe it would be better to rename the area to 'Backtesting/EA Testing/Strategy Testing, or something similar?
Also, maybe some information for users, an introductory paragraph at the top of the page, explaining the differences, and that these 'strategies' have not been tested on live accounts - I mean, a yield of over 900,000% - give me a break.

What would be useful is if we could have the ability to see how many different trading accounts have been previously listed by a user, and have been subsequently deleted/delisted.
Of course, we will not have the latest account info, as MFB won't have the feed, but it will give us some idea of whether users are setting up demo accounts / $10 bucket shop accounts, taking huge risks to try and gain an artificial' %age account gain.
The user can then be questioned on these accounts, relisting them for the community to see if there is nothing to hide...

open a SECTION individully for investors in need to find good FX manager In Suggestion Box Jun 10 2010 at 07:54
I think this is a very good idea.
In terms of a section for managers, I think you'd need to have a list of elegibility requirements before a manager can apply to be listed in this section - off the top of my head:
- minimum amount of time the account has been trading for - I would suggest a minimum of 3 months.
- need to disclose the broker you are using, so a potential investor can assess the spreads/reputation of the broker etc
- minimum amount the account needs to be funded with - I would suggest a minimum of at least $500. If a potential manager is opening an account with $10 at a b......
