With regards the slip - I run a system highly sensitive to slip - I would like to know how the stats on slippage are generated.
The exeprience of my 8 years full time in FX suggests that its fanciful to be specific figure on slippage from any broker - because at different times and in different market condition - slip varies. For eg when the market is quiet, you generally dont see much if any slip - but in violent spikes, the market condition my system trades in - slip is more often seen and to a greater degree.
We are talking slippage on stop orders - aren't we ? At market executions also ......

Can you describe the logic behind this system? Thanks.

Amazing numbers.....
At a guess I'd say it uses a fast signal source and places a trade on broker with delay (4XP) in the direction that the fast signal suggests - of course the designer can clarify this.
Works magnificently until the (then poorer) broker cottons on to whats going on, as their BBook is drained faster than traders at JP Morgan can loose money [lol]
Exciting stuff though while it works, it has to be said.

Hi Adam,
thank you very much for in-depth advise. I did change the lot size to the 0.1 as recommended. Account is a DEMO ECN at fxpig. I am not sure if this due to the current market conditions or something else but this EA did not make any trade yet. I am just wondering is it a normal thing or something is not right?
My plans are to open real 1000$ ECN acc with pig however I need to see positive results on demo first. Usually on demo u get better results(in theory at least). I must admit that trading 300$ with lot 0.1 is quite risky but my intentions are to see......

Hi Antonix,
Please be advised that if you are trading the correct ECN feed you will unable to use below a 0.1 lot size - last advice. You'll simply get a trade error message in your logs and no trades.
A 0.1 lot size on a $300 is also quite highly leveraged - so you can anticipate a very volatile equity curve - ie, big up and down days.
This account is a real ECN account at http://nmi.fxpig.com/ and trades approx 0.1 lots size per $500 and has already seen a 14.9% drawdown from a peak - so expect to see at least that much proportionately more during the life of your account. As you can see......

Hi jsantos,
You seem a little worried by the prospect of news - but this isn't an Asian Scalping EA that trades the quiet sessions looking to dodge the big news - fear not.
NFP is typically one of the best days to trade this EA because it trades spikes that are generally caused by news events - and NFP is one of the biggest and eagerly anticipated by many traders and notably spike reversal traders - which we are.
For the same reason the volatility forecasted by the Greek election is welcomed (albeit more about weekend GAP risk which is not a risk to this system), its precisely the type of m......

Hi hawkfx,
This account hasn't been used in a while actually, and is one of our former demo test projects (we now only run it on 1 demo and that is our long running official FWD demo listed in our profile)
Our ECN 2 account does now in fact now have running an more advanced v1.15 model testing two different entry methods, very recently, though we'll be keeping the results under raps for a little while longer until we see a decent number of trades.
Our ECN 1 account is being traded along the lines of this former DMA 2 demo account - smaller stops, faster, tighter trailing. Similarly, giving ......

Hi Adam,
Just to check, is this running on the FxPig ECN or DMA. Also do you prefer either of these above the other?
Cheers,
Maestro

Hi Maestro,
At the outset only the DMA was available at FXPIG, and we've left the FWD demo on that feed.
However, in real money testing the DMA just slipped too much, so, don't bother with it if using a tick sclaper.
The ECN is another completely different feed comprising of a mix of prime feeds including Dukascopy (amongst others) and has much less slip by compare to the DMA/STP option (in fact we've been seeing......

Anyone using this on other broker besides FxPig?
Can the settings be experimented on any excellent ECN broker (low latency, lowest spread ever on mt4)?

Howdy,
Yes, you can trade it on any broker that you feel has the required feed. In fact we've done quite a bit of work to make it more adaptable at other brokers.
However, it has been developed on the ECN @ http://nmi.fxpig.com/
Cheers, Adam :)
