Lost 44 pips. Still trading 1.1.6. I have about had it. In Feb I made +346 pips. In March I lost -75. And now April has started poorly. Beginning of the end of MDP? Of course when their MDP demo is not making money what chance does my real account have.

Guys, don't worry - you will give all your profits back, and more... :) MDP and brokers work like that

I was sitting this trade live and was interfering heavily closing trades by the script. In the end I lost 3.6 pips but with 24 trades and commissions around 0.7 pips per trade both ways, add 16.8 pips in costs, i.e. 20 pips loss.

Market wasn't pulling back hard, I noticed this pattern since late October last year. It got betting in January and early February but then small-pullback was back on track.

@lobotomy8: I hope you can see in the future!
@Misty: I also saw most of the trades happening and being positive for some time, mostly. But if you close them manually too early you might also have smaller gains. But today you were right. I was waiting for the positive trades to gain back the losses, but they did come too late today to save the day. 😞
Again 1st account took the biggest losses. Let's see what the rest of the week will bring.

I do not think it is the fault of MDP or the brokers. You can see wins and losses accross many brokers yes some variance due to settings here and there and broker preformance adds to the variance. But over all the theme or general pattern is the same.

So I conclude that the market at the moment is just not compatible with making pips out of retraces. It is either pushing up or down hard. Not looking back.

The dollar was at play here not the Euro. If you recall back in the summer it was the Euro crisis that was the catalyst of reluctant movents that MDP thrives on.

You are quite right here. However brokers performance can turn a nice win into a small loss and small loss into a disaster.
I agree that MDP at the moment struggles and markets aren't right for it. I will probably shut it down till the NFP.

I used mdp 1.16 last year and made some nice profits until the end of october, but then mdp started to go sideways.
Eversince I stopped using the original version.
Nevertheless I like the trading style of this EA, so I found someone who was able to code an EA for me, that is producing profits where mdp started to lose.

This is no offer and this EA is not for sale, so do not ask for it, because I will delete any request for this EA!
I just wanted to let you know, that the basic idea of this EA is great, but the way mdp is handling it, is wrong!

Market has changed, there are profitable patterns but the parameters are different now. Nothing works forever. I still plan to use MDP but perhaps only during news releases and under supervision. Yesterday was supposed to be a great day but it was not. Too bad.

A mixed bag of losses and gains for almost a break even trade. I wish I had signed up for rebates!

I had lowered the risk to 1.5 % on both accounts.

Mixed results here as well, but mostly gains after all. Reduced the risk on IBFX from 3 to 2, so only 1.1 % gain. + 4 % on 2nd account (risk=3), but 2 % loss on 4th (not published).
MDP seem to be on track again?!
Cheers

Damn, MDP simply stopped working 😞 Metatrader worked like it should but MDP just stopped without any sign, only the numbers didn't change anymore. So no trade for me today 😞
It's like a curse, on the days with the big losses MDP did work and now when it would have made a small profit it doesn't work.

if you dislike comments about your EA, don't comment other's EA.
spend your time in creating a good EA instead of spaming here.
