Search category for unrealized losses, gains, and overnight positions In Suggestion Box Apr 20 2011 at 17:10
1) Allow users /site visitors to filter trading systems by how much unrealized losses / gains, which allows people to know which systems are DECEPTIVELY hiding losses.
2) Allow users / site visitors to search for short-term systems that specifically do not hold overnight positions;

Sure, no problem. BTW I haven't officially pitched on this thread because I'm still working on getting my consistancy up to investment bank prop desk quality. Almost there. I hold no overnight positions.

Hopefully a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for the 5% who can survive by having a solid strategy, practicing sensible MM, and having good self-control to draw lines in the sand not to be crossed.

Very Well Said. I'm looking forward to seeing traders that can follow......

There should be a filter on the MyFxBook database so that people can search for:
1) Systems or money managers that DO NOT hold overnight positions, or positions with average <24 hr holding period
2) Systems or money managers that are holding an UNREALIZED loss

There is no such thing as a free profitable EA because FX is a zero sum game like poker. Profitable trading systems are ones that are not open to the public, and based on extensive proprietary algo and statistics research.

If you trade for clients, or are looking for clients, it is a way to show how your strategy stacks up against the S&P 500, etc.
|

Can a feature be added so that someone can compare a trading strategy growth chart to popular indexes and spot commodity performance, such as the S&P 500, DJI, and spot Gold?

On advanced stats, there is a calculation called the Sharpe Ratio. Can more ratio calculations be added, such as the ones listed in the thread title? Some references:

I use FxOpen (5 digit) and TadawulFX (4 digit) demos to verify quant strategies.

I'm going to post an extended money manager description in early 2011, when the algos learned far enough with a low error rate. Feel free to send me a mail message if you are interested in what quant strategies I'm currently working on.

Pace Capital Management pushed it to the extreme, to a point where the NFA took notice because of their visibility. They showed great backtest results, and stunk on all forward tests, while marketing heavily and showing up at conferences. There is the word of law, and there is a threshold to get noticed by the NFA or SEC. Regulars like the SEC are too busy browsing porn at work and being captured by the industry to care:
