anacon, One thing you may not realize is that your fight had nothing at all to zulumaster1 being moved from rank 3 to rank 267, and then moving back to rank 4. See, if a signal provider does not trade within 6 days it loses rank, when it starts trading again, the rank snaps back. I see it all of the time.
Im interested, check your messages
Anyone have any good ideas for potential brokers? My accounts in the UK and Australia have been canceled, thanks to the US government. Seems that as a US citizen, i am too ignorant to handle my own finacial affairs (thanks big brother...)
GOMarkets In Brokers Oct 08 2010 at 11:49
I really liked Gomarkets until this morning when I received an email telling me I can't trade anymore with them. It seems the long arm of the CFTC has gotten to Australia. IF you are a US resident, forget it. If your not, they are great.
Acutally you can have the best of both worlds. I like to have a EA that will tell me when a certain condition exists. For example, say I want the stochastic to be above 80 before I will look at a possible trade. I code the EA to monitor the market, and it sends me an email, that I route to my phone as a text message, when the stochastic closes above 80. That way I can go about my business, and when the conditions are right, I can go back to the computer and decide if I want to place the trade. That way I am not glued to the computer, waiting. It also helps by not spending so much time staring ......

I think the biggest reason zulutrade gets a bad rap is that it is way to easy for the inexperienced to lose all of thier money quickly. I play both sides of the coin with zulutrader, as a provider and as an investor. It is frustating as a provider to see investers receiving your signals lose money on trades simply because they don't allow enough positions to be taken, or they set the lot sizes so big that they margin out. One of the biggest reason is the lack of information about how the systems trade. They used to allow the system providers to describe their systems, but I beleive the it was ......
PinPoint Wizard EUR/CHF In Strategies Jun 07 2010 at 14:37
Steve, Is this an EA that you have written yourself? I have also been developing an EA for the EUR/CHF, but it does not like the past few months with the threat of intervention hanging over the pair. On backtesting it seems to do much better when the global economy is stable. Now with everything in turmoil, the EUR/CHF doesn't behave as expected. Im very interested in you results, since you seemed to have worked through that. It will be interesting to see how it can do on forward testing with the spreads bouncing around. Good job. I'll be watching John
When backtesting a EA, pay attention to the spread. If the spread is different you will get a different result.
I have a question about the contest page. When I load the first page of the contest, it says my current ranking is 5, but it really looks like I am 28th by gain percent. How is the ranking detirmined?
