it could be still more strange:
I'm running 2 Alpari UK demo accounts both simultanously with FBG (without update).
First account opened this morning 3 trades (sell, and all are negative at the moment), two with the defined lot size and one with double lot size.
At thr econd account no trade was opened.

I have no explanation...... the data feed is of course the same and simultanously because both accounts are at Alpari UK

I'm running the EA on the same account, on the same vps, even on the same install of MT4.
i.e. I have three different chart windows open on the platform, all running different magic numbers.

I am testing different trailing stop solutions against the vanilla EA.

And I got trades on two of the charts and no trades on one of the charts this morning.

Now, it's possible there's a trade context issue causing the problem but it's a little weird that other people are seeing similar problems.

If it is a trade context issue - I appreciate this trades at the start of a new bar only - it would be good to see it fixed.

i guess it is a trade context issue because 1 trade left open on one of my real acc.
i cheked the log and found a trade context error at the same time when it should have been closed
i am waiting for forexgrowthbot's answer...
the trades on their website and on myfxbook stat are different as well
they should use exact stop loss instead of just closing the trades by the robot
what happens if a fast price movement occours and the robot can't close the trades bacause of requote?
adding sl to the trades wouldn't a big programming task i guess

forexgrowthbot,
 pls answer...

If it is a trade context problem it's easily fixed. I add a subroutine to all my calls to the broker to check if the trade context is busy before submitting the request. That solves the problem.

a 'trade context error', because more than 1 ea running at the same time, try to open/close/modify record at the same time..

i run other ea as well but there were no other trades at the same time
exact stop loss would be needed...

It becomes more and more crazy:
I just took a look to FGB live account: 4 trades open since this morning, up to now 165 $ profit

In my accounts not one trade was opened by the bot. And this has nothing to do with trade context, never

I would be really interested in the explanation of forexgrowthbot,

Uuups I have to correct me....... I overlocked that the history was in the window instead of the trading window........ so no trades are open at the moment ....... one miracle less :-)

my second is still open with -25pips
and thinkforex is also open

I am testing in a live account in IBFX and another in IBFX AU and both are going the same that this account. The AU wasn't right in the beggining but was that I had to much charts and indicators running. I closed all and open only EUR/USD chart and it is working fine in both.

    pompealp,

Nope, you can't run more that 1 EA on a chart. You need to run this EA on a new EURUSD chart(M15), so your platform will have 2 charts open, 1 running FGB and one running the trail. In the trail EA, set the magic number to be the same as that for FGB.

In the settings, there is one called Trail_Start......use this to tell the EA at what number of pips to start trailing. The EA corrects for 4 & 5 digit brokers. If you are worried about the effectiveness of the trail set the Trail_Start to a relatively large number, like 25 pips.....at least that will allow some trades a lot of room to breath.

I agree with the idea that a news filter may help. This is pretty basic to incorporate, so I'm not sure why they don't do it. I can create an external news filter EA but I am not sure I can get it to prevent FGB trading when there is news due. Anyway, I will ponder it and see if I can come up with a solution.
hi kenny, means it is mandatory both eurousd charts opened at the same time interval setting respectively. for instance: FGB -> M15; Kenny EA M15 (too).
