Ray, can you let me know what the broker time is on FinFX?
I'll plot the trades and see what they look like, my initial thoughts about this EA are that it allows a massive drawdown on some trades before returning a few pips. My initial thoughts about this project were that is was a collusion between FinFX and the EA developers in order to attract business to FinFx - who are a relatively new broker. 11:15, restate my assumptions: 1. Therefore: There are patterns everywhere in nature. |

Hi Steve, not in front of computer right now. I'll let you know finfx's time later. Think it's gmt+2. On some of the open trades earlier it does appear the stop loss was about 330 pips. But once the trade goes positive they move it to break-even and higher. Only saw 1 trade so far, will need to observe more trades to see what it's doing. The 330 pips could either be the real or fake stop loss so need to see more trades to verify.

like all EA's, they look great when advertised. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I hope sales will be through clickbank so I can ask for money back

Thanks for the info. I'll plot the trades tomorrow and post anything I see that looks dubious here.

Just had a chat with FinFX support, the mam postfix on the symbol is a micro account that they have not released yet. Could be that the EA vendors have some kind of developer relationship with them to be able to open and test with these accounts. They are probably identical to the ECN account in terms of spreads and commissions with smaller funding requirements:
------------------------------------------- Our company representative will be with you in a moment. Meanwhile you can submit your question. 13:49 Sampo has joined the chat. Sampo | 13:49 Hi, how may I help you Raymond Ong? Raymond Ong | 13:49 Hi, I’m verifying some account info. What sort of account has mam at the end of the currency pair symbol, eg. EURUSDmam? Hello Sampo Sampo | 13:51 MAM and micro lot accounts use mam postfix (micro accounts are not yet publicly available). Raymond Ong | 13:52 I have login read only access to some live accounts and I see the mam at the end of the symbols These are from EA vendors. Sampo | 13:53 If you are preferring to Leo Trader’s account, it’s currency rates and lot sizes are equal to normal ECN account. They just have that kind of symbols because they have also been testing our micro lot account. Raymond Ong | 13:53 I also see that they are ECN accounts because they have commission on the trades. I thought the smallest amout to fund an ECN account was 2500 USD or 2000 EUR Yes refering to Leo trader account and Pip Laser account from Megadroid guys. Raymond Ong | 13:54 So they are testing ECN in micro lot accounts? How? Sampo | 13:57 That account type is something we are considering and they have been testing how it works. Raymond Ong | 13:58 I see. So to clarify it is an Micro ECN account. Sampo | 13:58 The results they have done could have been complished with normal ECN account as well. They did not use micro lots in their trades as far as I know. Yes. But do notice the aboce sentense. Raymond Ong | 13:59 ok alright thanks very much. Sampo | 14:00 You are welcome. |

Two trades open now with 330 pip SL and 25 pip TP. It could be a power out SL or one that's set so far down the brokerage can't trigger it. Lets see if it adjusts the SL as the trade progresses. Both eurusd and gbpusd have the same TP and SL.

From FinFx website
'Raw Spreads starting from 0.2 pips No Mark-up with ECN means much better fills True ECN/STP environment' You don't use fake stops on an ECN broker in my opinion. It makes no sense to. 11:15, restate my assumptions: 1. Mathematics is the language of nature. 2. Everything around us can be represented and understood through numbers. 3. At the moment, the TP has been moved to +70 pips, and the SL has been moved up to lock 16 pips profit (16.3)
I noticed the one loser was only -2.7 pips, and until now it seems pretty solid. It'll be interesting to follow it for the coming months... Steve, did you look at how the earlier trades behaved? Like how much drawdown was allowed? Cheers Soeren Always get cashback - http://www.cashbackforex.com/?aid=2091 |
