in my opinion the effectiveness of arbitrage systems is decreasing with time as more and more traders have access to automated systems which wasn't avaialbe several years ago.
Opinion on system In Experienced Traders Aug 25 2011 at 14:21
SnapTradeFX posted: Well, it's been almost 3 years already...of which the past 6 months has been on live accounts. I don't have any serious capital so if I want to create profit, I'd have to be very patient :) But I also agree, and I don't want to rush into trading for people I don't know either, rushing (and also greed) is too easy a road to failure.
oh, then that is quite a different picture. what is "sersious capital" from your point of you? i suggest starting small and adding to it when possible - if the system is good as it looks, it should grow quickly.
SnapTradeFX posted: Hmmm, maybe I'll make my system free too, not a bad idea actually, free things can be quite succesfull...
that's correct and applies for systems which make the money from trading and not from the sells of the system to users. [wink]

i agree, use real account, no matter how small it is, the psychological factor would be the same as with a bigger account only less nerve wrecking [grin] also don't overtrade - it very easy to get caught with the exciting world of trading and it's even easier to lose your accout faster than you can realize, so make sure you have an exact trading system and that your trades follow it exactly.
walker36 posted:
James_Bond posted: I see your point. Do you have any timeline? When are you going to start trading it live for example? As that would be the ultimate test.
I am mid age(halfway [smiley]) James and things are not changıng after that age. I must be sure about the system. And I have bad/good habıt from chıldhood. when I fınd somethıng new focusıng on that. you're still using fapturbo? it's a dead cat in a bag...
daily_martingle posted: i have been working on this automated system for 3 years. its a martingale system. works on any pairs but the best result is On gbpusd. its a very safe system. monthly return is about 15% - 20%. its a good and stable profit if u have any question please do not hesitate.
that's very surprising to hear the words "safe" and "martingale" in the same sentence. what makes it so safe? a martignale system is doomed to hit a margin call at some point as you're simply adding to a losing position until you run out of money.
sharpforex posted: Have you performed any correlation studies between the economic factors and the currency pairs concerned? For example, if UK interest rates rise by say 0.5%, whilst US rates remain on hold, what is the likely percent increase in the GBPUSD? Further, is there a time-lag between the interest rate rise and the GBPUSD rise? I previously traded interest rate futures, and economic data correlation proved quite helpful in forecasting direction, range of forecast move, and timing. Would be interested in hearing from forex traders performing this analysis, and the resul......
