In an attempt to stop the rumor mill before it starts I want to make a quick post to clarify some things. I am not going to stop trading with Toms EA. I am not just moving on to the next project. Tom's EA has proven quite effective on this account making an excess of 135%. I will be opening a new account with a substantially larger start up deposit and will be targeting a lower return. The FPA reviews date back almost 2 years and are almost at 4 stars. Hard to say its a scam with that type of history. The other review takes this account out of context when comparing it to this other strategy. If you trade the recommended pairs only ie the eur/usd the gbp/usd and the usd/cad the picture looks completely different. Do a custom analysis on this account only taking into consideration those pairs for the lifetime of the account and you will see an over 400% return with no more than 19% drawdown. djlawren, It sounds like there was a miss-communication. When this draw down occurred it was primarily due to the EUR/GBP pair. It affected this account as well. As you can see we are just now getting to a point to where we are offsetting that draw down. My staff was to inform people that we were going to discontinue trading the eur/gbp pair not that we were going to stop trading any pair that included the eur or the gbp. Chrissav, not sure exactly what you mean regarding comment 2. Anyone that had TomsEA already had the mirror trading option and could see that it was called ProfitAgent in the mirror trader. This was not something that we were hiding. We didn't actually switch from the EA to the mirror trader. I guess the more accurate thing to say is we simply moved to only the MirrorTrader since we initially offered both options. As far as if we processed any refunds on TomsEA the answer would be yes as it had a 60 day refund period however the request rate was quite low. I really do not understand the ...

Paulrozza I have no idea what you are so bitter about. Toms EA is still going strong and working like a champ as you can see by the reporting here on myfxbook. People bought a product to perform automated trading and that's what they have received. We said the product was developed to attempt to achieve 100% return per year. Thats not at all what I am saying. In fact we are getting ready to release a new version with some new bells and whistles. Remember that the master account is running off of Toms EA so the EA will continue to be supported and improved. However, regarding updates. Updates are not required because its not strategy that needs much optimization. It is a finalized strategy that will work ongoing. If we need to optimize it in the future we can.

@Pailrozza Tradency does not pay out per trade like so many think. They used to do that but well before we decided to relaunch this as Profit agent they changed their model. Just saying that us getting some commission had nothing to do with why we stopped selling it as an EA. The reason we stopped selling it as an EA was due to support issues. It seemed like each time MT4 did an update it affected the EA and the way it worked. We had one situation where it stopped working all together. No this will not affect further development. Keep in mind that the mirror trader depends on the EA to work since it is what is running the mirror trader. For this reason we must continue to support it. In addition to that I use the EA on several accounts also. Bottom line, the EA will continue to be supported because A: we have an obligation to do so and B: We are using it internally and want to continue to improve it.

You got that all wrong. The top two are the same account but it has two myfxbook accounts attached to it. One is for those that have already signed up under toms ea to follow. The other is for those that sign up under profit agent to follow. This account is not used on the mirror trader at all. The reason we re-branded it was to due away with the EA for future purchasers.The ea requires a lot of support and causes a lot of issues and seems to confuse a lot of people. The top two are the same account. We created the second because we have a site that only pushes the Mirror and not the EA and to keep confusion down we didn't want people posting about the EA in the Mirror trader only thread so we just created a second version of the same account. The last one is the Mirror trading account. IE the actual account the mirror trader users are mirroring.

Not sure what you mean by this account has wiped out. It started with 10k and even if we were to liquidate now we would still be up almost 80%. My goal is 100% a year and this account has only been trading since August. If we take a hit like that we would still be on track to hit my target and then some. The EA had the 40% drawdown protection set to on so when the EURGBP dropped it closed out these trades to protect the account. We did find an improvement out of this. The drawdown was from the EURGBP trades and we would have preferred it closed eurgbp trades so that these other trades could have kept working. I think we will make a change that will have it close trades from the pair that has the highest drawdown. In any case the EA did its job to protect the account. I cant stress enough that the guidlines in the website are not a recommendation but are posted as a"MAX" use guideline. That means that the numbers in that guideline are the max you should use. Using less keeps your risk lower.

The issue was not brought to my attention until mid morning and my first priority is getting the system back online or at a minimum finding out why it went down and then notifying clients. Unfortunately infusionsoft does not have an early warning system and the way they count API calls we are finding was not explained clearly. We were initially told that we get 10k calls a day. We have since found out that we have to earn those calls at a rate of 2 per second that we are not pulling and its capped at 10k a day. So once you drop to zero its a vicious loop and it becomes impossible to catch up.
