    I did some tests using real accounts. The ping times seem to hold stable no matter the time of the day and week, but for order execution times I only did the tests Sunday right after the market opened, when I thought I'll get the best times:

Average ping times from San Diego VPS (CNS):

Alpari UK = 146
Alpari US = 73
ATC Brokers = doesn't reply to ping
FXDD = 82
InstaForex = 33
MB Trading = 10
Pepperstone = 169

Average ping times from New York VPS (Razor):

Alpari UK = 77
Alpari US = 2
ATC Brokers = doesn't reply to ping
FXDD = 5
InstaForex = 46
MB Trading = 83
Pepperstone = 238

Average order execution/open/modify (I only tested some combinations for broker & VPS location):

Alpari UK from NY = 928
Alpari US from CA = 913
ATC Brokers from NY = 372
FXDD from CA VPS = 525
FXDD from NY VPS = 434
InstaForex from CA = 867

great information. thank you Remus.

ATC Lıve servers does not ping back. servers has just replaced behind a quite secure firewall. ( as I get informed. ) I could get ping info from VPS provider.

CNS says the ping would be 88 ms from CA and 2 ms from NY. I have a different provider in NY, but I bet it's very low as well.

I am currently emailing a trader named Rudolf. He triggered me to check FUTURES<>FOREX arbitrage opportunuties. I was plannıng to do some work on it due my brother has worked on futures for a long time and I have heard some tips from him.

I am currently eyeballing 6EZ1 12/19/2011 <> EURUSD spot and spotting gaps >15-20 pips. there will be quite high comission regarding to the forex but I am seeing some oppotunities there.

there will be 2 platforms used MT4 and most probably NT.

any one had experienced with, well come and we will be pleased to listen.

fun time;)

last night I had downloaded ATC brokers futures platform ATC trader. ıt ıs ofcourse new platform for me. fırst tıme experienced.
what ı would like to tell is I had around 1000usd profit today with trading arbitrage between futures vs forex.

this is for sure begginer luck as always. then I have lost 500 with a wrong order executıon. so total profit for today ıs 500 usd paper money.

ıf ı would be a newbie ı was tradıng whole week and at the end of the week I would have been lost all my balance for sure.

this rule some how always work and pull people in this game. 😲

I did not try to arbitrage this, but I have good experience with Interactive Brokers, and they support both futures and forex in the same platform, and Ninja Trader can be used as front-end.

They are a reputable broker, and maybe it's not even a problem to trade that arbitrage with them, which would be awesome, since you would only have one account to manage.

even if they allow arb on same account I see a problem here.
tick value of EU is 1.00 but 6EZ1 tick value is 1.25

this means they cant be properly hedged at lot base. at least below 100 lots for 1/1 hedge :)))))
(ATC trader allows only integer lots)

also Activetraders NT is not allowing 2 decimal points.

this means that has to be hedged on 2 different platforms. if you dont have min 225lots cash :))))

Hi Steve, this is Rudolf. I almost regret throwing in the Futures for arbitrage as I feel there's too much for you goito explore at the same time and thus taking time off your original idea which is coding a solid product to be tested and creating the right infra structure (right brokers and server issues) so it can be used. Being a retail trader is a handicap in itself as we have to deal with broker issues instead of being able to simply scan the exchanges for arbitrages like Institutional traders do. But I'm confident you are on the right track and the whole system can be extended step by step to trade arbitrages of everything that moves....lol

By the way, I stumbled across Hotforex.com which offers a variety of accounts like MT4 Currenex. What astonished me that their latency on the Demo (unfortunately no test on real AC) both from my Com to their server and the order processing was far better (280 average) than ATC, FinFX, FXCM, which I had tested as well. FXpro.com shows on their website that their average order processing latency is 80 ms. But when I tried to close an order it took a few seconds. I think who to deal with is the most difficult part of this project.

I'll contact them after I return from vacation. If they do, if will explore that option, since their order execution and commissions are among the best in the industry (for something a retail trader can get his hands on).

the issue is is not the only comıssıons. I have tested atc and active lot base trades cant be hedged on same account/platform.

Traders I have noticed an important point with HOTFOREX and/or the brokers offers BONUSES.

when I read the terms and condıtıons about %50 bonus on fundıng account I understand that due to this bonus I can crash my account.

If you read details you will understand what I am saying.

Be VERY careful about bonuses offered by brokers.!!
