Backtesting forex robot or new indicator is a good way as early screening to finding good trading software,
I think to backtest in demo account we can adjusted deposit amount

Yes, you are right, it will be much easier to plan trading if you follow this formula. However, the demo account must be confirmed by trading.

@AliaDare Demo trading can give us confidence about our strategy. If the strategy is doing good on demo, it will do good on live as well.

I don't really understand people who pick up new trading strategy without proper backtesting. Such people just trust the information that they get from the Internet. Backtesting is a must-do when you need to test some trading ideas, otherwise, you are sure to lose lots of money and blow your deposit.

Back testing can you can idea about the strategy. But before trying on live account, it is good to try on demo account.

I believe that such tool as backtesting should be used by every trader on Earth. Every indicator, strategy, robot or any kind of financial ideas should be tested very carefully and thoroughly before implementing it using your real money.
