Basicly it's about the market (bearish\bullish) and your position's type (long\short). But there is no ONE factor, which can help you make it profitble. It's all about the analysis, which is complex of factors.

I agree with David. There is no single factor affecting the profitability of trades rather it's a combination of factors.
