Hi,After a long period of tweaking we went live with our new strategy. Its based on our old friend, trend.. It also takes into account Volumes and RSI. Actually the basics are very standard, but the finetuning seems to work perfectly for us. The core outcomes can be viewd online ofcourse..Feel free to join us for free on this ride. Thats because of the huge deposits. But this is martingale. That is a problem AND obstacle Watch the huge dropdown yesterday. 400K in a day down...

I was wondering how this new account could be in Autotrade / approved for Autotrade?The use used a custom setting. If you analyse the performance before the setting you will face a drawdown of almost 75% which is higher than allowed in Autotrade. Accounts should be considered for all history. - 2 year lifetime expectancy of an EA is fine- You can better test with thousands of trades for 2-3 years then for 10 years with much less. Bakctesting is about loads of trades, different marketsituations and quality data/measurements.-Doing Martingale for a very short time and then switch feels indeed like a casino approach. Nevertheless best of luck and respect to everyone. One should do what feels the best for you.

I know just joking..;-)I agree that every EA has less good periods but over time they should work in order to be a good one. There are loads of Martingale examples performing well in a short period. But lets say show me one with <30% dd and 3 months. Its not without a reason that applications like Autotrade not accepting them and Zulutrade warns for them auto etc..

Agree. As for the spike, risk. Make sure you use proper SL levels (also inside the ea. Avoid any Martingale etc. Sometimes you have to loose a battle to win the war..

The best is to read a lot, develop your own system. Let it build by a coder. Backtest and optimize for a long time in order to find something that is profitable with a backtest over 2 years and >2K trades. Then try on live for a few months..
