Someone here was disappointed of not much trading currently (couldn't find who that was), talking with Doug via email he acknowledged me about the holidays is quite the consolidation quiet period in fx markets, so, "not to be concerned". :)

Thx TSF, You have 2yrs backdata from IC Market server in your mt4!!!! Now that's something! Usually most brokers only avail 2 or 3 months. Currently am trying to accumulate more than a few months with FXCM, but even if I get there will broker yank some switch at some point like what I experienced at IBFX before they closed all mt4 biz. Hmmm, but you're talking 1hr bars vs my attempt at 15min bars, so 4X amount may be something in hand at FXCM.

Hello the supremeforex,Can you do nzd & aud on large period of backdata since over past year on myfxbook those are the 2 best performers live (1min, like Dukascopy or forextester.com's fxite or fhdb [forexhistorydatabase.com]) ??Doug says he's not into that, seems if he does do it its on shorter periods as he seems to suggest in an email response to me, and maybe that makes sense based on matrix style walk-forward optimizing routines where optimum periods to re-optimize can be found. But longish period overall general performance ought to show something........like maybe it won...

Did I address you? I was asking Doug. You ought to look at why you need be antagonistic on certain issues herein, maybe you're afraid to look into such? Usually its the case in technical field for characters to exhibit antagonistic tone for items they wish not to confront. I noticed later posts saying they're offering optimized settings for last year, that requires backtests done repeatedly! Hi Doug,I think what would be a real "clincher" for those like me holding out on the sidelines is an mt4 test on each pair that you specify with Dukascopy 1min backdata (or forextester fxite backdata, or fhdb [forexhistorydatabase.com]). I'm to understand this could take a lot of time to run, but it be worth it for that smaller % of us who'd get something out of it. Currently I see live 1yr live forward tests, it's "nice", but I bought TFOT a couple years ago based on same live period and its performance stayed drooping for a year and I ended out selling it for ...

Good point babanihad, how well I recall a highly studied and advertised CAD EA that was doing ok for a month or two for me when their scalping theory with wide sl was crapping out.Maybe it's best I stick with StrategyQuant where everyone can come up with their own strategized-EA. Like babanihad points out, looks good now 'til market DISAGREES.But nothing wrong with REV..........now.........best author limit sales .......otherwise.

Seems aud & nzd are the only real gainers when doing custom analysis on myfxbook, eurusd actually detracts overall.I'm highly impressed, but then I've been impressed with seeing TFOT for a year and bought it only to find huge ecn acct type broker would have it work that good. (Similar pricetag EA). So I concluded these things need watching for 2-3 years. If someone has a dinky acct on a regular broker like fxcm please let me know your myfxbook or fxblue url, thanks so much! Truly,Jerry. :)

You doubled your money from March to September and took it all out, why? Same amount of time keeping it in would've had you keep withdrawing for every same period! Maybe you had urgent money need.Start on this myfxbook or another to do it that way? Looking forward to seeing long term usage w/o someone crashing.

I was just commenting and posting back up a .png shot of Antny's tests. Ask him or fughe how they do the tests. Not sure how basic kind of instruction you want to do basic mt4 testing. If it is basic best get info from web.

Nice job fughe,So for a Thou acct w/ a micro running it only double the acct in 4 yrs with more than 2 yrs stagnation, yipes! If run 1 mini the dd is near 30%, weren't you talking 2 micros? So that be 4X an acct with 6% dd, so-so, but the stagnation stinks.Back to gbpusd by itself, see what you can favorably get with that? It seemed the best.
