accounts get blown, part of learning process,When things go well I tend to oversize the risk, and then boom, account blown when market goes against stratigy.Classic mental fail.

Depends on stratigy :)what s the stratigy u are using?I believe most calculate their size based on the free margin or equity size.
Do you prefer fixed spreads or dynamic spreads?

yeah, you could see it that way.I think the big fixed spreads are so they get a big piece of the money pie, no matter the spread variations, to make sure they got their pockets filled no matter how good/bad the excecution..

I think I've built several systems like what you're trying to do.For me they we're not an option at the time because of- the swaps- MC happens in trending markets,- many open positions, a lot of signals.good luck

Lol! finally a nice breackdown :)funny to see this topic is still active. Gues you could say it's the newbie's dream .short term 200 to 400split that 200 into 2...and then. if you can do that with each 200... wooooohw you're set for life (o_O)

thank you migtab :).You can see that the DD on this system is a lot lower then on my other system.This is because I needed to adapt my ea to the 4 digit brokers lotsizes and levels,enableing me to spread the risk the simple math ea might have carried.

lol, it's the risk of starting with a small capital, high leverage. one has to start somewhere.it is a 5 digit broker.the ea can handle only a couple of wings with low capital investment.My focus now is on the PAMM account.I have adapted the ea to run for 4 digit brokers now.You can see that the DD is a lot lower there then here for I was able to spread the risk better there.these losses are nothing against the potential is has when run with bigger capital :)crashes can occur, it's my goal to keep them at bay for as long as possible and even prevent one from happening.

today is a decent example that the EA might do better on 1 account than on the other, it is dependant of the position/time of initialisation. for this account was initialised after the other account, the ea has a different starting point and other points of entry and reset. The other ea will recover, but the chances are this account will get more profit today then the other one.
