Actually it is demo vs live 😉 I think some people still believe that the demo profits achieved can be easily replicated on live. Maybe part of the meaning behind this thread is to show whether this is correct or not 😄

I also prefer intraday trading and can hold a position over night only if I am completely sure that the trend is strong, confirmed by a few supporting indicators and checked on multiple timeframes.

Hi c3po, I see what you mean and thanks for the shared article. I got your point and all is clear 😄 You are right about the bid price but as stops are placed on both short and long trades and the spread can widen by increasing both bid and ask price, I just think that stop hunting can be applied in all scenarios by the bad brokers.

I started trading with JFD Brokers after having very bad experience with several major Russian brokers. I am very happy with the service, customer support speaks fluent Russian and is always very helpful. Execution is fast and stable. Spread is low and I even have positive slippage on some large trades. I tried also some of the tools to their platform and my favourites are Depth of market, Tick chart trader and Sentiment trader. The main thing I want to see improved is to have more webinars in Russian as well as to have market research articles in Russian.

I would like just to add one point I read on Wikipedia - 'The fundamental reason why all martingale-type betting systems fail is that no amount of information about the results of past bets can be used to predict the results of a future bet with accuracy better than chance.'It is pure gambling, nothing to deal with trends or analysis of the market in my opinion. I think vontogr@ is right that it is about following a losing trade.
