This is shaping up to be a down year for gold so far, last from 2022. But even in 2022, it was down only 0.3% for the year. Now, it seems it might go down what, 10%? 15%?Unless we start to reverse big in Sept-Oct, this might be one of the worst year for gold.I'm not complaining, since I'm mostly short, but just interesting. No clear catalysts for it either, other than 'being overbought' earlier on (same as it was in 2024 and 2025).

Yeah, slippages happen and it's almost impossible to avoid. But I myself have a few tips I stick to to avoid slippages. 1. Don't trade on the news without proper experience.2. When opening/closing a deal, always pay attention to the spread, the current volatility of the instrument and the opening/closing price.3. Don't trade large volumes, especially in the news market, until you learn how to quickly manage the opening/closing/opening of pending and stop orders.Perhaps for some it is a familiar rules, for others it isn't. After everything I have seen going down in forex. It will never make you rich. Trying to play beyond your level will leave you very broke. Everytime you trade with a lot of money the probability of losing it is very high. If you want toget rich then venture into another business. Not this one.
