Five star discussion, really! Tips such as to follow the trend, to automate if possible, the meditation, proper money management etc. I personally found plenty of cool things shared here. Maybe finding a trading mentor/coach could also help in dealing with the emotions. They cannot be completely killed as it was already said. Losses can and will always happen but the ability to accept them and recover is what makes the difference.

EUR/USD is moving in the range between 1.0687 (resistance) and 1.0513 (support) for already half a month! That's what I call a solid consolidation. Definitely the big break of this zone will be after the NFP. I expect a number higher than 174K which may have a bullish effect on the dollar.
Do you prefer fixed spreads or dynamic spreads?

I also prefer the 5 digits option but I know it is not offered by all brokers.

Well, yes, that's true. I think it's reasonable to have some kind of expiration rule but not just based on duration as also nothing stops the trader to open a new demo account. This could avoid the annoying account reopening after 15/30 days even if you use actively the demo.

@xgavinc I think this means that the broker does not take the opposite side of the trade but pass it to the banks, right? So here the broker is a simple transmitter of the order. Maybe this was what Nina referred mentioning the hedge and kieran replying with 'yes'. Just wanted to clarify for myself this point in the discussion.

I think the trading style should reflect the personality. If you know what trading instruments and settings are suitable to your attitude, use them and it will be a matter of time to see good results.

To me demo is enough before starting with real money but only if a few books and a trading course is added to the list 😄

When I started trading FX I used fixed spreads because I thought this brings predictability of the costs. Nowadays I trade at dynamic spreads and it's all fine as long as they are stable at market news.I would add a second question - do you prefer the commission to be separate or included in the spread? 😄
