I agree with RPP123. The strategy is a long-term one - it's not designed to fight the market for every single pip. The developers are responsive and don't come across like the average EA marketer.That said - they haven't done themselves any favours by starting this account with (as they have acknowledged) wildly risky settings in order to attract attention, which has the effect of giving people unrealistic expectations as to the timeframe for returns. And I also am waiting for the restart fix before trading this live. Demo account up 5% though...

As a (hitherto) prospective client I can't say I find that reassuring. You have this EA running on a PAMM account, trading other people's money. Is that just a game too? How about the people who spent USD 600 on the previous version of the EA which I understand is less profitable and which, nevertheless, you won't update - do you think they consider this just a game?If you're trading your own account - that's fine. At the moment, the top left section of Monthly Analytics (Monthly Gain) shows gain vs the original account size. It would be good also to have the option (perhaps just another tab within Monthly Gain) to show gain vs the account size on the first of the relevant month. This would assist with monitoring consistency of a strategy.

It would be nice, under the 'custom analysis' tab, to have an option to show the results of trades taken with several magic numbers as a single line.For example, I run an EA which has a few different strategies. Each of those strategies has a different magic number. I can plot each different magic number on the chart as separate lines, but I would like to be able to 'group' those magic numbers so I can see the overall performance of that EA as a single line.ThanksMark

The depreciation/appreciation of an account trading one single system or plan is determined by three factors: amount of equity risked per trade (i.e. position sizing), accuracy (i.e. winners vs losers) of the system, and the risk:return ratio of each trade made by the system. Hello all - what's everyone's view on the merits of running Asian scalping strategies over the next two weeks? Andrew: hard to say whether it's down to Collective insofar as some unique feature to their live environment is concerned; rather, the key benefit for me for Collective is that the live account performance is very similar to the demo accounts, so you can test and tweak in demo and then be confident that the EA behaviour will be replicated in the live environment. Understood. And on EURCHF in particular I find it's tricky to find a spread consistently under 2 pips. Don't suppose it'd work on EURUSD?!I'd be tempted to sacrifice some trading time for spread - i.e. have it shut down towards the end of the NY session. This is the only way I've managed to keep scalpers alive in real trading. Obviously makes it less profitable but more stable. Another alternative I'm spending a lot of time on at the moment, for various reasons, is 'true' ECN access i.e. direct to Currenex, Hotspot, Lava etc etc. The difficulty for scalpers is t...
