Its funny how everyone has completely misunderstood the question. I believe the post asked what goes better with ECN account MT4 or MT5. To which I can suggest that it really doesn't matter whether you use MT4 or MT5 with an ECN account. If you are getting raw spreads starting from 0.0 pips both the platforms will provide you the same results. However the MT5 is quite advanced from mt4 and you get plenty of additional features like market depth, more indicators, more timeframes etc. So it completely depends upon the comfort of the trader, efficiency wise both will give you the same results...

thank you for adding this point. Yes. Low commissions are also vital., its of no use if you have to pay huge chunks of commissions out of your profits. The broker I use only charges me $2 commission per 100K trading volume for both sides. Pretty helpful.

scalping needs realy tight spreads so I use a broker who offer raw spreads and at time i have seen it going as low as 0.0 pips...

Our goal should be to cover the loss instead of avoiding loss. We cannot completely eradicate losses from our trading. There is no such trading strategy wich will give you 100%profit. One must focus on ways to cover the loss incurred by making more winning positions.

When it comes to leverage higher the higher is the risk of losing and higher are the chances of gaining. basically higher leverage helps you to trade more with less capital and earn more profits... I strongly believe a medium range of 50-100X is enough leverage.

and then you get trapped in a vicious debt trap... you take more debt to trade thinking you will be able to payoff your previously debt and earn profit for future.... which ineed never happens you are left with debt... huge debt and nothing to pay it. .

Even i am using the same broker.. I really like their tight spreads and ridiculously low commission ... M planning to give a shot to their professional account. It would be a jackpot if I am able to open one... Higher leverage with all those trading conditions... A perfect combination ..
