The EA actually seems to be able to be backtested on 99.9% (tickdata) with real spreads. Ran my settings on those (just the past few months), and the trades taken here match the actual trades the EA opened very well. Regular builtin MT4 backtest with fixed spreads and all however, not so much.

CAD weakened quite a bit on the EIA news and USDCAD is up 72 pip, if the oil goes up for the day CAD is likely to retreat some, but the eyes are on the Feds in 2.5 hour. Any surprise can give big movement in either direction.

In 99.9% backtests, it sucks as it takes far too much capital risk. With Risk set at 0.2-0.3 on a 500 leverage account it will bust every pair. I use sub 0.1 risk. And tweak the settings per pair. It has been fairly good with EURGBP for me atleast. USDJPY have given me 15%+ drawdowns twice (but I survived). Remember, 1 pip of AUDUSD is not equal to a pip in GBPUSD in movement. GBPJPY will most likely not work even with 12 trades at default settings.

@Silk Dear I say just google it? And if brexit happens it is bad for EUR and GBP. While remain is atleast good for the GBP.

Well, if you bought around 1.13 you are fine. If you bought around 1.14 you should've sold a long time ago.

It is common for comission to be in the base currency in cTrader, this is how it works with etc Pepperstone. Which means comission * 1.44 for GBP. It can be done with MT4 as well (etc fxopen), but it is less common.Interactive brokers use TWS, not cTrader.

Market makers tend to get off-quote if the market price have moved from the offered price as those prices are slippage free (or sometimes slippage capped). You get that at etc Oanda as well. True ECN brokers won't give you off-quotes ever.

cTrader ECN works just the same as ECN in MT4, you have (usually) a bridge in between the MT4/cTrader server and the backend trading platforms. Brokers can cheat just as much regardless of what platform you use.

The USD was very oversold at about -2% to every major pair except GBP on Friday, and we expect Yellen to do some damage control today. I see it run it about 1.1325 before Yellen might spark movement on Monday.
