I think the EUR / USD pair and most profitable of all the pairs that is what you are thinking the same thing as me?

It is the most traded pair and therefore may offer more opportunities, but as far as profitability is concerned I can't agree with you. Sophisticated traders will find very profitable opportunities in all pairs.

Well said. Profitability is ability to create a trading system with an edge. If some instrument was more profitable than others, then everyone would just trade it only.

Yes, trading correlated pairs is the same as trading the same pair twice, so I would avoid that as that simply increases risk (putting all eggs in one basket).
Correlations I've noticed are (from most correlated to less correlated):
EURUSD - USDCHF (negative correlation)
EURUSD - GBPUSD (positive correlation)
GBPUSD - USDCHF (negative correlation)
NZDUSD - USDCAD (negative correlation)

If correlation is your concern, you should look up a correlation table (eg : http://www.forexticket.co.uk/en/tools/01-01-correlation) before making a decision on what pairs to trade.

Thanks for the reference. I also thought that eur/usd is the most profitable, but I probably meant that it was the safest pair (well is it???)

It is neither. Having said that, it is the most liquid pair, the most trade pair so therefore the most active one.

I disagree. You can't say that pair is the most profitable one because it depends on your system/strategy itself.

I would say that all pair are different. They all have a personnality that can change with the time. One will be profitable if you can feel the way it deeply move (the real trend behind)... You never know how they can react... it's like a wild animal but if finaly tame it... you will make money!

I agree with you. EURUSD is the most profitable for some traders , because it has high volatility... Perfect for scalping. But if you trade on the large time frame or use other strategy it's not so obvious...

Yes, David ... a little proof about that every pair has it's own personality :)
In this system https://www.myfxbook.com/members/oshaban/fx-ct-v3-multipairs-usdjpy/398075 I used both EURUSD and USDJPY ... EURUSD went to margin call within a week while USDJPY is still goint very well ... Draw down is little high because the minimum lot size for fxpro is 0.1.
Anyway, because I believe the strategy works in trendy and sideway markets but better in sideways, so, focusing on low daily range pairs will give me more better results.

Totally agree. Even more - you should write your strategy for the special pair, which will let you gain the best result.

We Don't care: we will trade ANY pair any time... Our system is a true Neural network based on Joone Open source Code, so if a pair is being a bitch that day our system will know it! and Make some instant Adjustments and then, smack some pips out that bitch....
