A logical question. I have "backtested" this EA during a period from year 2002 to 2012. 10years of backtest. And the result were impressively good. Now , this bot is working like a beheaded cockroach. ¿What is happening this year that has not happened in the last ten years? I am watching the charts and I cannot see anything different than what occured in previous years. ¿What is happening?

I believe that breakouts are not running like they used to and more importantly, pull backs are happening quicker and deeper. It is the pullbacks this year that have been killing all breakout EAs.

Every cockroach have to die one day. It is a fact of life.
Best is to always keep a portfolio of EAs; and keep looking for new ones all the time; and drop the cockroaches.

All commercial bots need impressively good backtests, otherwise they would not sell. So their parameters are set up to produce high profits with past price data. This is completely unrelated to their behavior in real trading.

6 Months of consistent losses is beyond any estimated drawdown duration. This bot failed permanently on the 4th consecutive month of losses. oopss is right!

I think the reason is there is any large volatility in last 6 months
