The Rising-Falling Three Methods are a trend continuation patterns that may appear during a downtrend and an uptrend.
When occurs during an uptrend, it is called the rising three methods while during a downtrend it is called the falling three methods.
In spite of its name, The 3 methods pattern consist of at least 5 candlesticks (and more); The first is a long candle is in the direction of the trend, the following 3 candles (or more) are smaller and in the opposite direction (not exceeding the range of the 1st candle), followed by a last candlestick which opens above the previous candle and closed above its close (in an uptrend) or opens below the previous candle and closed below its close (in a downtrend).
When occurs during an uptrend, it is called the rising three methods while during a downtrend it is called the falling three methods.
