Truist Financial To Sell Remaining Stake In Truist Insurance Holdings
Truist Financial Corp. (TFC) announced Tuesday that it has reached a definitive agreement to sell its remaining stake in Truist Insurance Holdings, a subsidiary of Truist and the fifth largest insurance brokerage in the U.S., to an investor group led by private equity firms Stone Point Capital and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. Mubadala Investment Company and other co-investors are also participating in the investment.

China Slashes Mortgage Lending Rate To Support Property Funding
China lowered its longer-term benchmark lending rate at a slightly sharper than expected pace on Tuesday, in an attempt to support the ailing housing market. The People's Bank of China cut its five-year loan prime rate, the benchmark for mortgage rates, to a record low 3.95 percent from 4.20 percent. The bank was expected to lower the rate to 4.10 percent.
