Arbatov System

Sistemas de Trading

I've been following a few quite profitable systems - in the beginning anyway. It is interesting to me that they've eventually gone backwards on the same activity -> over leverage - adding losing positions. Food for thought.

It might be better to try to use plain English here. It will be too hard for him to understand otherwise.

Keep on watching then. I agree with Will that Arbatov's trades are real. Just keep on monitoring ....

Let the man do his job. It's hard enough just to trade this uncertain market. We all have to accept that it's normal to lose sometimes. That's the nature of this game, isn't it? No one can keep winning all the time. Let's face it!

Voffi, thank you for updating. It is quite dangerous holding long for Yen pairs this month. I had a few a couple of times too, but only for very short periods of time. The trend has been choppy for a while.

I didn't check this system in the last few days. Which pair did Robert trade to damage the account? I had some bad trades too towards the end of last week. Luckily I wasn't over leveraged, so lost small.I feel the pain for him.

Like your philosophy.

Robert,IMHO, the mistake you made was the fact that you add your losing positions down in hoping that it will come back soon. I'm sure it will come back maybe soon, but the leverage is the key which caused the margin call. In a situation like this, I'd keep leverage low and add positions when it turns to your favor. Having said that, I do understand it's easy said than done. Anyway, I think majority of people in this thread are quite generous and giving you constructive criticism which is quite encouraging. Happy trading!

Thanks, Will schaarrand. That's so much clearer. I hope what you said is true as I'd like to follow some manual trading systems. One thing you didn't mention and I can't find from the Zipsignals site is whether the provider has to trade on a real account or a demo? And also do the clients have to trade real as well or demo is ok?Cheers,

Can someone clarify for me here? As a provider (on zipsignals), you can trade manually and send the signals manually to your clients and only the clients will receive signals through an EA. Your trading does not have to be automatic, am I right? I'm only just getting to understand this signal provider thing. It does sound like a good idea to see what others are trading instantly and manually. I just don't trust auto at this moment.Cheers.
Trade small to win

To me trading is like playing Poker. Have you ever played Poker before? There are certainly some profound similarities between the two. In Poker you only play big hands to win and fold on small hands. Even with the big hands there will still be a chance of losing because someone else might have a better hand than you have. You have to work it out psychologically whether or not you can beat other hands so to double or just bet to stay in. I reckon those who are serious about trading forex should have a go at playing poker. It will change the way you think about the market. It certainly changed ...

I understand the trades are taken from our broker. But I thought when you display the history on the website, we should be able to change the setting as we are able to select period and filters to display certain data. Thank you for response.Cheers,

It would be good if we can change the setting for time stamps of trades, i.e. setting the time to either local time or GMT time. I'm not actually sure what the time stamp is used to display the trades at the moment, but certainly it's not local time on my computer. I just thought it would be good to be able to change it so we can analyse trades using our charts which might have different time stamps.Cheers,
Manual Trading and Automated which One Do You Think Is More Profitable?

Even though I do write EAs from time to time just to keep myself amused, manual trading has proved to be more profitable. I could do a bit semi-auto trading just to help me to get a good entry or exit if I'm away from internet. But yes, same as Steve, manual any day.Cheers.

A new strategy is used only from May 2010. You will notice the consistency since then. I'm using a mixed (automatic and manual) trading system which has proved to be consistently profitable. This is a FxManager (game) account which I intend to grow about 10% a month from June. Anyone is welcome to monitor it or invest virtual fund to it through FxManager client.

Dear Staff,My account is showing deposit as $6000 on the contest report page that contributes the percentage ranking as 7% something instead of 45% something. Could you please look into it? Thanks.
