There shouldn't be an issue with it if you are running on a VPS. Both of my MDP licenses never de-activated because the mt4s were never shut down.

Not true. I run 2 VPSs, validation still missing

If I attempt to change the magic number, MDP will try to reauthorize. I have no reason to attempt it.

Well.....I don't know if they did it on purpose, but IBFX just flipped out on the price feed. I have been getting huge gaps in the price feed for several minutes now, and averaging about 1 tick every 5-10 seconds. MDP missed a really good spike because of the gap.

I doubt IBFX would be doing it on purpose. I didnt have any trades on my accounts that have not been disconnected.

Well....there are 3 possibilities. #1-They did it on purpose because I hardly ever lose a trade. #2-Their servers died and were switched to an emergency backup. #3-They just had a massive hacker attack.

I did a quick test to see if my MDP would authorize on my little account. It failed. My big account is still up and running and i will leave it alone.

Maybe they want to give refunds? 😝

Being unable to get the EA to work is not acceptable.

Well ive emailed them today requesting this refund.. if it had taken trades and lost it wouldnt matter... its the fact i cant get it working and that ive spent more time trying to sort this than i have on my own strategy which is all manual... and im almost 10% up on that this month...

@Alec,
Considering how it's behaved in the past 3 weeks, i'd say this is a valid stop loss mechanism 😝

Could be a connection...this weekend when I did my maintenance on my PC, MalwareBytes (my antivirus program) targeted MDP's dll file as a trojan which it is obviously not. Check your antivirus logs to see if it has been deleted or quarantined.

If it has, some A/V programs will not allow it to be installed and it must be added to your A/V exclusion list. Then it should be able to be installed again.

I purchased all 3 EAs at different times and all 3 won't login am getting authorization failed. Have sent million dollar pips support 3 emails and haven't gotten a response. I really don't like the whole authorization thing it's something else that can fail.
