I am a retired Professional Geologist-Geophysicist, currently an algorithm developer and trader, family banker, and real estate investor with a desire to pay it forward. I worked for 30+ years in environmental remediation, mining and water exploration, marine construction, and dredging as both a consultant and a contractor. Crude oil is my favorite commodity to trade because I went to graduate school to learn how to find oil, I supported my family by cleaning up oil in the environment, and now I use algorithms to trade oil. My experience using algorithms began when I used computer models to simulate how water and contamination move through soil, sediment, rock, and waterways using algorithms to predict how contamination moves and at what concentration. My trading journey began with learning to manually day trade low volatility commodities. It has evolved into algorithm trading of highly volatile futures, stock options, and foreign currency exchanges. I algorithm trade to create wealth, donate proceeds to charity, teach people my mistakes, and most importantly to pay it forward.
