Hi Myfxbook members,

If we put our account details into myfxbook to track our performance, are our acc numbers and passwords safe? (against hackers, against myfxbook, against...)

If you use the investor password you should be safe because it is read-only.

Most of the data stored are only trading related.

The only trrue info that you could be concerned it is your real name that can be viewed if someone managed to get your investor password.

But, other than that they cannot do anything.

does this count when i opened the myfxbook and clicked YES to it having access to my mail, my fx account login name?..my fx trades? did i need to click yes, would fxbook work without this?..

i'm bothered not knowing if i'm sharing too much?..have demo account but if i upgrade i'll do from the demo account, which means i need to restart it all over again for safety..
Don't rush the market,it will stay there and remain there for always..

Safe... A joke right?

You should know that nothing is safe as soon as you make public or even private any information about you on Internet.

Anything can be hacked anytime.

Enjoy the risk... like in trading.

@sasha33ana if you have too much doubts and concerns, just don't connect the account.

To granting the read only access is just fine. I don't see much issue here 😄 It is also MFB reputation at stake if any breaches happen...

I also agree that MFB with its world reputation is a safe platform for monitoring accounts. And it is a very useful one with all these indicators shown.

It's just investor password, which is Ready Only. Your account details are known, and all your trading is known. If they want to copy your activity, you did just give them access. But are you that good of a trader for them to do so?

But how will someone know that they placed such trades? Anyways, I also think MFB is a reliable website in terms of data security.

People like to brag about there success to there buddies, even if they can keep it under wraps for awhile , other people start noticing the new Rolex, new car, more holidays etc. your work mates start getting curious , its usually a tip off for most investigations . If you get caught you'll never hold a licence again, plus fine and possible jail time.

I would worry more about the cyber security of your brokerage account frankly.
Cut it while it's hot.
