The most important thing is honesty. If your broker is honest, it really doesn't matter if it's a market maker or ecn/stp!
Just choose a honest regulated broker that suits your trading system well :) Good luck :)

If you feel confortable with your broker and it allows you to apply your strategy without any restriction I guess it's ok.
Anyways, to choose a good broker you have to take into consideration it's reputation, regulation,payement methods, trading condition etc......

I would say
1. Stable regulated broker with good reputation
2. STP + NDD.
3. good spread + high leverage

A True ECN Broker is far better than STP/Market Maker broker. Professional Scalpers always prefer a regulated True ECN broker which provide tight spread, low commission fee and high leverage.

ECN brokers are the best. Clear rules for trading. Market Makers usually do manipulations on customers accounts, thats why I suggest to stay away from them.

Manipulations, theft from brokers..your mt4 data itself could very well be not even real or highly inaccurate. Some people still rade standard but its not for average user. They go in hit the broker with big win take their winnings and run if they can that is.keep migrating their capital from broker to broker but these are advanced traders 😄

I agree, I choose ECN Broker myself.
It is important doing little research when choosing broker because bad broker takes much of your profit, i.e. if you got any.
I like Armada, Excel Markets and IC Markets.

Of course STP. MM are almost scammers to me.
